This Royal Canin formula is designed exclusively for pure breed Poodles from 8 weeks to 10 months old. The Poodle’s signature coat grows in single, curly strands without an undercoat and grows continuously. If you compare an adult Poodle’s hair to that of a puppy, you will see that the hair is very similar — the coat simply becomes denser as the dog matures to an adult. With coat-benefiting nutrition in every delicious bite, this formula is tailor-made for your growing Poodle puppy's specific needs.

Key Benefits
  • Designed for Poodles from 8 weeks to 10 months old
  • Enriched with Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids to support continuous hair growth
  • Helps support digestive health and helps to maintain a balanced intestinal flora
  • Prebiotics and an exclusive complex of antioxidants help a puppy’s natural defenses
  • Kibble design that is easy to pick up and encourages chewing

Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

How are Royal Canin diets preserved?

All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.

Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?

We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.

Why do some Royal Canin diets contain by-products?

Royal Canin chooses ingredients because they deliver high-quality nutrients that support our customized pet food formulas. Using chicken by-product meal instead of chicken meal for example will allow Royal Canin to maintain its highly customized nutrient standards while achieving a more secure and sustainable supply.

Why do some Royal Canin diets contain grains?

Grains can be a healthy part of any cat or dog’s diet. As always, we focus on the nutrients each ingredient provides and grains can provide many important nutrients.

How do you ensure Royal Canin diets are safe for my pet?

Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way.* We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase.* We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food.* We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers.* We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.

How do I know which Royal Canin diet is right for my pet?

Based on size, age, lifestyle, and breed, each cat or dog has unique nutritional needs. For healthy pets, use our Product Selector to find the right diet for your cat or dog.If your pet is experiencing health issues, please refer to your veterinarian for more information. Your veterinarian will consider multiple factors when recommending an appropriate diet.

    Louie Loves it!

By Missy on May 1, 2021

We have been feeding this kibble (along with other foods, cuz he gets a gourmet mix, of course) to our toy poodle puppy, Louie, and he loves it. He's tried other brands that we received as samples, but this is perfect for his mouth size and I guess he likes the flavor. Sometimes he does pick out the kibble from the wet food, but usually he eats it all. It's also a good size for treats, if we're practicing sit, stay, or come.

    Vet Recommended

By PuppyFood on Feb 17, 2021

So far my puppy seems to love it! I have purchased the poodle specific type as well as the basic puppy and she loves them both. The vet has also said that it is a good, healthy brand. A little pricey, but seeing as though she likes it and it never had any bad effects on her tummy, we are sticking with it!

    Finally something he eats

By Apollosmom on Feb 12, 2021

My picky you poodle finally found something he eats. Tried him with Merrick's and it only lasted over a month before he stopped eating it. Switched himto Royal Canin and he eats it all up. He does want a bit of broth with it but he uses it as treats as well.

    They Love It!

    By 4PoodleFamily on Jan 28, 2021

We got this for our miniature poodle puppies and they love it! Our adults, also mini-poodles, have turned their nose up at every dry food we've tried. They like this so much we need to pull them away so the puppies can eat!
