Transition Instructions
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
FAQ
How are Royal Canin diets preserved?
All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.
Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?
We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain by-products?
Royal Canin chooses ingredients because they deliver high-quality nutrients that support our customized pet food formulas. Using chicken by-product meal instead of chicken meal for example will allow Royal Canin to maintain its highly customized nutrient standards while achieving a more secure and sustainable supply.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain grains?
Grains can be a healthy part of any cat or dog’s diet. As always, we focus on the nutrients each ingredient provides and grains can provide many important nutrients.
How do you ensure Royal Canin diets are safe for my pet?
Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way. We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase. We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food. We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers. We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.
How do I know which Royal Canin diet is right for my pet?
Based on size, age, lifestyle, and breed, each cat or dog has unique nutritional needs. Package not here on time, first they came too soon
Chewy does hae good foods and decent prices but they struggle with consistency. Either they charge me way too soon and send monthly foods at 2.5 weeks instead of 4 weeks or they send it on time and the delivery gets delayed because they forgot to remove a hold on it! They are hands down the worst at sending consistently than any other site!

Great product if looking to save some money
I mix wet with dry for my puppy. You get so much more food for less compared to the pouches. The pouches are easier to use but with a puppy eating 3-4 times a day, the cans are more economical. My puppy loves both pouch and can equally.

My puppy loves it
I mix this food with kibbles for my puppy dinner every day. He would finish the food within few minutes. It is his favorite. No upset stomach like some other brands.

Max Loves His Royal Canin
My 6 month old Toy Aussie was introduced to this brand after spending 2 days in the hospital with parvo, being prescribed the gastrointestinal version by the hospital vet for a bland diet when released. Max loved it, so we bought this puppy version, which he continues to love. If you have a picky eater like Max was, try this.

6-lb Terror
My other dogs are 150-lb Newfies. All are on RC. One is on RC's SO for urinary issues. Somehow it made sense to us to get a mini long hair doxie that weigha only 6-lb. The doxie loves RC's puppy food. He is so smallI have to thaw (soften) the can content before feeding him. He barely finishes 1/3-cup each meal so open somewhat full cans go in the refrig. between meals. Virtually all other puppy food cans start to cmell whereas as RC's cans do not. Why no kibble = kibble requires choice white grease (CWG) which I produce at my company & sell to RC. Nothing justifies feeding CWG to canines in my opinion unless its Lard (edibkle CWG) which is WAY too expensive for RC to buy.

Spoiled Pom
She loves the food. She was in the hospital with vomiting and diarrhea, and this is the food she is eating now. She can't eat the kibbles the breeder had her eating.

My Yorky puppy really enjoys this, and my very senior Yorky who is over 14 years old, also eats it as well. My older Yorky became very picky in his old age and at least he will eat this. What are
