The Digestive Care is for cats who eat too fast and regurgitate their food. The Sensitive Digestion is for cats who may have diarrhea, for example.

Are there any products from China in Royal Canin cat food?
Answer by • Sep 22, 2019
At Royal Canin US, all of their ingredients are carefully selected for the health and well-being of the cats and dogs they feed. For this reason, they're committed to sourcing ingredients from suppliers located near manufacturing facilities whenever possible. Because their standards remain the same regardless of the origin of the ingredient, they do not typically release the country of origin for each ingredient. Rigorous testing of ingredients at the supplier, on arrival to the manufacturing plant and in the finished product guarantees the safety of their products. Rest assured they are confident in the ingredient integrity of all of their suppliers because they demonstrate the ability to consistently meet the strict and thorough standards of their own Supplier Quality Assurance program, regardless of where they are located. As a key part of this program, Royal Canin suppliers undergo frequent quality audits and there are no exceptions.
Oh dear, my sweet kitty seems to be allergic to this food. Sadly, after consuming it, he had major digestive issues (you don't want details). He was very willing to try it a couple of times but the results were the same. I'm afraid he can't eat this food. And - for me - this is doubly bad; I discovered I'd ordered a case of this food for him previously and forgot I had it. So I have two cases of food which we can't use. I don't know whether they are good and he is just sensitive to it...or there is something amiss about the food.
Chewy is always so good in getting my orders here in a timely way and their customer service is just exceptional. Such friendly and helpful CSRs. But in this case - the food just doesn't suit my sweet kitty. I gave 3 stars since Chewy is so great.....but the food isn't suitable.

WOW I'm amazed
My very finicky 16 year old cat, who had previously been on another premium brand had started developing itchy ears, so I weaned her into some turkey cat food, and she ate it, and ears didn't itch, but it was horrible on her tummy. She was losing weight too, so I tried this and knew I wouldn't be able to wean her into it, so I was prepared for more soft litter box runs, but I didn't need to. The next day her poo was normal again! Didn't even need the weaning process. She absolutely loves this food. Itching started again, but not as bad and she's gaining back her weight and is happy.

Cats like it
Looking for new foods for cats with digestive issues. Only needed this for two of our cats, but all five of them were very happy with this food. This may be a keeper, even though we are trying a couple others first.

Something changed
My cats have been eating this food for several years now, but I think something must have changed or may have been a bad batch. Cat #1 has issues eating too fast and vomiting, which happened once a week or so previously, but is now doing so every other day. Cat #2 has never had issues with vomiting, but is now doing so a few times a week. I have noticed an oily sheen on this batch, which was more prominent than in other bags. We'll just have to switch foods, which is too bad since we've been on Royal Canin for so long!

Cats avoided it
Out of nine cats, they all avoided this food. I have a mixture of long-haired and short haired, and if you have digestive sensitive issues, so I wanted to try this food. I wish it had worked out better.

Purrfect for tummies
My 15 year old lost weight and energy and developed some bad tummy issues, IBS after putting her on a turkey cat food. I am happy to say I didn't have to wean her into this food, and the diarrhea stopped by the next day! She feels better, has more energy and lets me know when her bowl is empty! So glad I found this food! It has healed her tummy issues!

Good for sensitive tummy
My two girls started having more stomach issues. I had purchased a very good food brand but it was too rich.
I tried other brands but nothing was helping. To be honest this brand does not fit all my criteria but it works for them.

Great replacement for Rx food
I have a cat with no tail who suffered with recurring rectal prolapse as a kitten. She was put on a very strict Rx diet wet food (Purina Gastroenteric EN), but over the years the price has ballooned ingredients with the product being constantly out of stock. Then she started having trouble keeping it down, so we went looking for a better solution. This formulation from Royal Canin doesn't cause her any stomach problems, she's more satiated, and still no apparent danger of prolapse. Now I just need to adjust the amount down so she doesn't get quite as fat, but definitely a better all around option compared to limited options we had for wet foods and the non-existent options we had for dry.

This food has a greasy film on it. I've tried all sensitive stomach brands for my female cat. I can't find something she doesn't throw up. How can something so greasy help a stomach

Good for 17 year old
My female cat is 17 years old and can handle this food really well. She's allergic to fish and this food does not cause vomiting as do many others she's tried. I pair this with Hill's Science Diet for Urinary Health and hope to have her around for several more years.
