My two girls started having more stomach issues. I had purchased a very good food brand but it was too rich. I tried other brands but nothing was helping. To be honest this brand does not fit all my criteria but it works for them.
I have a cat with no tail who suffered with recurring rectal prolapse as a kitten. She was put on a very strict Rx diet wet food (Purina Gastroenteric EN), but over the years the price has ballooned ingredients with the product being constantly out of stock. Then she started having trouble keeping it down, so we went looking for a better solution. This formulation from Royal Canin doesn't cause her any stomach problems, she's more satiated, and still no apparent danger of prolapse. Now I just need to adjust the amount down so she doesn't get quite as fat, but definitely a better all around option compared to limited options we had for wet foods and the non-existent options we had for dry.
My female cat is 17 years old and can handle this food really well. She's allergic to fish and this food does not cause vomiting as do many others she's tried. I pair this with Hill's Science Diet for Urinary Health and hope to have her around for several more years.
One of my cats will eat a few bites, and the other one will not touch it. Maybe if there was no other food, they would eat it after a while. I will keep looking for a quality kibble.
I have an older cat who is super picky about food and she loves it. It is helping me keep her from losing weight.
I used this sensitive formula when the urinary food was out of stock. It works nicely for my older cat, but I now mix the 2 formulas and she's very pleased. Not as much upset tummy.
I bought this as a sub for my cat who is eating the 12+ pate/dry and missing some teeth. Both kitties are able to eat it and seem to like it.
This cat food is great for finicky eaters or cats with tummy issues. It is expensive so I typically mix with other brands, but they always pick these pieces out to eat first.
Both of my cats have sensitive stomachs. They are only 2 years old and have had problems since they were kittens. My vet said there is nothing wrong and maybe they would grow out of it. With this food, they have improved significantly. I get very occasional hair balls but no random vomiting or litter box issues.
Looking for alternative for digestive care formula when supply is low. Cats love it. Glad I tried it.
