Transition Instructions
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?
We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain by-products?

We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase. We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food. We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers. We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.

can a 15 lbs bag last me 4 months if stored right after opening
Answer by • Apr 03, 2019
We recommend using a bag of food within 2-4 weeks to maintain the nutritional value and freshness. It's generally recommended that you store kibble in the original bag and put the entire bag in an airtight container rather than put the kibble directly into a plastic bin or bag. How long it'll keep depends on temperature and humidity as well as how well you seal things up.
I have an 11 week old maltipoo female. she was 2.7lb about 2 weeks ago. I am feeding her 1/4 cup three times daily now. The instructions are very confusing, how much should I be feeding her?
Answer by • May 05, 2020
Royal Canin X-Small Puppy Dry Dog Food feeding charts read for age in months and target adult weight. All feeding amounts are listed as a total daily recommended feeding amount to be split into smaller meals throughout the day. We recommend splitting this total amount into two daily feedings minimum. For puppies that are 2.2 pounds that are 2 and 3 months old, it's recommended to feed 1/4 cup total daily split between two feedings. Optimal feeding amounts may vary according to your pet's temperament, activity level and environment. If you have any questions regarding your pet's health, please contact your veterinarian.
I am feeding my 12 week old tea cup chihaua mix. the x-small puppy mixed with the appetite enhancer how much is daily recommendation
Answer by • Jul 13, 2018
Feeding for this food would be based on age and weight. If a puppy is about 3 months old the recommended feeding amount would vary. A 2.2 pound dog would receive a 1/4 of a cup. A 4.4 pound dog would receive 1/2 of a cup. A 6.6 pound dog would receive 5/8 of a cup. A 8.8 pound dog would receive 7/8 of a cup and an 11 pound dog would receive 1 cup.
I was planning to go with Royal Canin for my Maltese at the suggestion of Chloe's Vet. I decided to go ahead and get the puppy food and transition Chloe to that so that she was acclimated to the brand when she hits the 10 month mark for the adult food. I wanted to transition from Blue Buffalo slowly so I mixed the foods but right away she would only eat the Royal Canin and subsequently forced me to transition it quicker than anticipated as she would no longer eat the Blue Buffalo and fortunately she did not have any tummy or stool issues.

Good food
My 5 pound maltipoo puppy loves this food. She wouldn't eat science hill dry food. When I switched her over to this she immediately ate it. Also mix it with royal canin puppy wet food, nutro puppy wet food, or rachel ray wet food for variety if this helps.. my fur baby is picky and likes a variety of different food.

Love this kibble!
My frenchie puppy loves this stuff! It's the perfect size and has great balance for his diet. He even enjoys it more than some of his treats! So we use this for feeding, snuffle mats, and training.

Wish this food had better ingredients
I bought this food bcuz it was wat my breeder had recommended. I hate to be the oddball on here but the only thing I can say good about this food is that it's kibble size is GREAT for my papillion pup & that she DOES eat it. Now for the down side. The first listed ingredient is chicken by product meal. Which means all subpar parts of the chicken, feet, beaks, bones everything u or I wouldn't eat. Corn, there is not one tooth in a carnivore's mouth meant to eat grains. Flour is another big "no-no". I'll give this to her as a starter for now as she's young but in conjunction w/a raw organ meat which will enhance her diet ten folds & change her when she's a lil older. I had a dog who had gotten kidney disease due to my ignorance of quality dog food. I changed her outcome just by changing her diet. I've done a ton of research on dog food due to my sick dog & learned quite a bit. I wish I could say better things about this puppy food.

puppy likes this kibble and is doing well on it
I have a very small papillon mix puppy who was not eating the food the breeder used, and seemed uninterested in eating. I tried this kibble -- first of all the kibble pieces are TINY! but he really likes it, eats it up quickly, and is doing well on it (poop is good, coat is shiny, etc).
These are also tiny enough pieces to use as training treats for my very small puppy.

Very happy with my order.
I ordered Royal Canin dry and wet puppy food plus Nylabone"s
I am extremely happy with my order.
The only problem I had with the delivery was that Fed X left my box in the middle of my driveway. It would have been nice had they put the box on my porch.
