Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

Puppies less than 3 weeks old should be fed Mother's Milk. We do not recommend feeding Starter Mousse to puppies under 3 weeks old.

My puppy is a Shih Tzu born on March 30th. Mom weaned the puppies during the 5th week. I have the puppy now and she is doing great, is this wet food recommended for this situation and no longer getting mother’s milk? If so how long should I give this to her?

This recipe is formulated to meet the nutrition and energy needs of mothers during the third trimester and through lactation, and weaning puppies through two months of age (8 weeks).
