Feed a Specific Renal Diet
Your veterinarian can recommend the right diet to support your cat’s kidney function.
Encourage Drinking Water
Make sure that your cat always has fresh and clean water available. Offering them moist food can also support hydration.
Stimulate Your Cat’s Appetite
Offer your cat a nutritional option with different taste, smell, and texture to help ensure food intake, especially for pets with a poor appetite.

Since Chewy was out of the prescription S food from Royal Canin for quite a while, I tried F. My cat liked the taste fine; she’s rather picky about her food. Unfortunately, she has had diarrhea; it began a bit after she started the F version. The vet did a number of tests, but there was no obvious cause. Eventually It occurred to me it might be from the shift in food. She’s back on S, and her gastrointestinal issues seem to be resolving. In other words, just be aware that the difference in kidney support food types even within one brand can cause health issues. On the plus side, her kidney function improvement has been fairly significant with both types.
My senior cat was recently diagnosed with early kidney disease. The vet gave us a different brand of kidney food to try and it was strongly rejected. My other cat is on royal canin ultimino so I looked at the renal options with royal canin. I was sold when it said triange shapped kibble. My picky cat was on triangle kibble over the counter and has severe dental disease, the triangles are easier for him to eat. He took to the royal canin renal immediately. I even have to fight off my other cats who aren't supposed to have this food. Happy I found this.
After my old girl decided she wasn't going to eat the canned version of this anymore, she has decided she loves the dry version - go figure. I'm so happy she's eating again.
So thankful that you answer the phone with a real person. I might add a friendly person...always when I call. Will do more business with you and recommend. Thanks.
The is the first renal support food we've tried and he really gobbles it. As soon as I poured it in the bowl, he started sniffing the air and came over running.
My cat Saki was diagnosed with CKD about two years ago, thankfully the transition to change her food to this one was easy, she loves it!
My cat with early stages kidney disease was eating RC Fiber Response for constipation. It worked really well, but she stopped eating it. I read tips about mixing it with a food she likes. I tried various ones, and she just wouldn't eat it...until I mixed it with RC Renal Support F. She eats every bit of it. It's a great choice for finicky eaters!
My cat is a very picky eater. Since having to go on special food for her kidneys, we had been unable to find one that she liked and she was losing weight from not eating. This food is the first that she eats readily. Her kidney disease is stable and she has regained her weight she lost.
My cat is 18 years old and now needs to be on veterinary renal support food. She likes this RC dry food. She mostly eats their wet food loaf in gravy E and loves it, but I like to leave out some dry food just for a little extra. Chewy does a fantastic job getting our special veterinary RC products to us.
after the "S" Savory flavor has been out of stock for several months now, I was relieved that my cat likes this "F" Flavorful version of the kidney diet food she requires.
