About Royal Canin Dermatology For Cats

Worried About Your Cat’s Skin Health?

Skin health concerns are common and can appear anywhere on your cat’s body. Your veterinarian is the expert on your cat’s health, so you should always consult with this trusted advisor to find the best solutions for your pet. This specialized expertise is why Royal Canin works closely with veterinarians to develop formulas that support skin health.

Common Causes of Skin Health Concerns

Environmental Sensitivities

Pollen, plants and dust are environmental factors that can trigger an immune response in some cats.

Food Sensitivities

Your veterinarian may recommend a diet elimination trial to help determine if your pet has a sensitivity to certain proteins in his current diet.

Parasites

Your cat can pick up external parasites such as mites, fleas, ticks and lice from contaminated sources, both indoors and out.

Infection

Kittens, older cats, and cats that have recently been ill may be more susceptible to bacterial infections that can lead to skin health concerns.

How Can Nutrition Help?

Your veterinarian may recommend a Royal Canin Dermatology formula for your cat. These special formulations can:

Aid digestive health by regulating movement through the GI tract and supporting balanced digestive flora

Support the skin’s natural protective barrier

Aid cellular health with a complex blend of antioxidants.

Promote healthy skin and coat by providing long chain omega-3 fatty acids in the diet

Find The Perfect Balance

With a dry and wet feeding routine, dry food supports positive oral health while wet food supports healthy hydration.

Autoship

Keep your pet's feeding on schedule.  Set your order for Autoship to make sure you always have their veterinarian-recommended nutrition on hand.

Great food for my cat

This food is great. It's definately more expensive than the standard food, but my cat needs this for his allergies. He loves it. My cat is very finicky in what he likes, and I was very worried that he wouldn't like it. He LOVES it!

Great Taste

Tried many Rx food for allergies. This one apparently has the best taste and my little girl has had no flare ups since she started eating the wet food. Totally worth the price

Helpful for cat with IBD

My 2 year old cat has really bad IBD. We tried everything from probiotics, prebiotics, fresh cooked meals, medications, etc.. None of it helped. We switched him to this food, and he has been having solid poops, not puking, and gaining weight back. The price is REALLY too much, but its giving our family our kitty back.

My cat loves it

This was recommended by the vet for one of my cats. He loves it and looks forward to getting his meals. It's too soon to tell if it is actually helping with his digestive issues.

my cats said "no, thank you."

Ordered the duck as a change from the rabbit that my cats were eating. Unlike the rabbit, which is moist and appealing, the texture of the duck appears dry and the cats didn't care for it. Adding water might help - I've not tried that yet. A good quality food, just not to my kitties' liking.

Finally something works!

I wish this had been prescribed 4 years ago when my kitty first started having chronic constipation. My new vet recommended this after observing signs of IBS in the lower intestines. This was the food change she needed to live a happy and healthy life! My zooey is 12 years old and back to her young, spunky self. Totally worth it!

Smaller can 5.1oz

Over the period of a year+ our cat lost 1.8 lbs. We feed him 1-1/2 cans a day. Didn't fully realize the content went from 5.9 Oz to 5.1 Oz per can of food. Don't the people at Royal Canin think? Isn't there enough problems without this?

My cats love it

This is the only canned food my cats will eat, so this is what I give them! Kudos to Chewy for their efficiency and compassion for our little ones!
