Worth every penny

We have had our 4 lb rescue chihuahua on this for about a year. I took him to the vet yesterday for his annual dental. When they checked us in and looked in his mouth she told me his teeth were “pristine” and he didn’t need cleaning. Told us to come back in a year!

Great food for little dogs with dental issues

My dog Pearl is a miniature pincher. She’s a small breed approx 10lbs. Unfortunately, Pearl had 15 teeth pulled due to dental disease. Her vet recommended this food. I was hesitant to get after reading some of the reviews. I ordered anyway and have no recreates. My dog is a picky eater and she loves this food. The food is larger pieces but they seem hollow and are not difficult to chew for a small Dog or dog with recent surgery. Within 5 days from her teeth extractions she was eating this food mixed with wet food. Give it a try.

Dental Hygiene

Our Vet recently prescribed this for our Toy puppies' dental health. We use it in addition to their regular food. It will be a while before we can assess its benefits over the long term, but our two little ones love the flavor -- devour it without hesitation..!!

Good Kibble Size for Small Dog

I first bought Purina Pro Plan VH Dental in the small bites formula for small breeds but the kibble were enormous. My dog refused to eat them. Gave Royal Canin a try not knowing if they would be any smaller and thankfully they are. They're still large (have to be to get the brushing effect) but the shape is flat whereas the Purina is spherical like tiny meatballs. It makes a big difference in him being able to eat it. Very happy to have found a dental food he's willing and able to eat. Too soon to comment on its effectiveness.

dog loves these

Our vet recommended these and the dog loves them. We use them for after meal treats as opposed to just feeding these for meals.

They should not call this small dog food

I bought this for my 8 lb dog. The kibble are larger than my 80 lb lab's kibble. I cannot use this food. Apparently I cannot return it either.

I trust Royal Canin completely

I trust Royal Canin completely, but too bad my dog won't eat it. She has been eating some version of Royal Canin Sensitive Stomach for over 15 years. She always favors the kibbles I have left from the supplies I stocked up on before leaving Texas. I wish Royal Canin would bring the brand back -- or at least something that looks and tastes like it.

Big kibbles for small breeds

My 16-lb senior throwback Pomeranian has small teeth with dental issues, and the kibble size is almost as big as a starburst candy. He doesn't seem to mind it, and I mix it with another smaller kibble that he's been eating.

Not for small breeds...

I purchase this item because I wanted kibble that would support my two toy poodles' dental health. BUT the pieces are huge and absolutely not kibble that I'd feed my 7 lb. dogs, especially since the suggested serving size is 3/4 cup (which makes for too large a serving for small dogs). Each piece has a circumference of approximately 1/2 inch. Pretty big... So, it didn't meet the need for my dogs.

Great product

Was a little worried my dog would not eat this size kibble but she love it. Hope it works well on cleaning her teeth.
