Continue to Canada siteRoyal Canin Urinary SO is a veterinary-exclusive wet dog food developed to nutritionally support your adult dog’s urinary tract and bladder health. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. It increases the amount of urine your dog produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. And this specialized nutrition, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps dissolve pure struvite stones and prevent struvite stones from forming. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some dogs. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your dog on this urinary dog food for long-term urinary support.

I took my dog to the vet the other day thinking he might have a UTI. Unfortunately he was in surgery several hours later to remove 12 gallstones. He was prescribed a special dog food to (hopefully) prevent future stones. I contacted Chewy to order the prescription food and prescription treats. Chewy contacted my vet and in several days the order was delivered. I am very grateful to Chewy for coming through for us during a very stressful time.
My sweet labradoodle has developed urinary problems, so we switched to the Royal Canin dry Urinary SO food, which she eats, but reluctantly and only when she's starving (6 months in so not a passing thing!) I ordered the wet food as she has devoured the Gastrointestinal wet by Royal Canin to take Rx pills following surgery. I'm now mixing in @ 1/4 c of the wet SO into her dry SO kibble - she is eating with gusto! A great way to keep cost manageable and keep my queen happy!
My 7 year old has been put on this special diet and it’s quite expensive s. Was very happy to be able to save a little by ordering on Chewy. Thankfully, she loves this food and I was happy with the delivery.
Had to put one of my dogs on this due to bladder stones. So far, it seems to be helping him.
My almost 3yr old Standard Poodle has had several UTIs and two instances of struvite crystals in the past 8 months. I don’t feed him dry foods preserved with citric acid as it increases the risk for bloat (he’s an at risk breed, and Royal Canin dry foods are preserved with citric acid). For the first instance of crystals, I fed him the Royal Canin SO kibble. I wasn’t comfortable feeding it long term, so we changed him back to his regular kibble after the crystals dissolved. With this newest instance of crystals, I opted for the canned formula. He hasn’t been back for his re-check, but it causes him to urinate frequently and his symptoms seem to have left so I’m fairly certain that it has worked. My one and only complaint is that it causes a lot of gas– he belches a lot on this formula. The slices in gravy didn’t seem to cause gas, so we’ll probably switch once we run out. He also vomited the first few mornings, but I split his meals into 3 instead of 2 and he hasn’t vomited since.
The staff at this company have been well trained in customer service, they treat me like a valued customer.
My sweet fur baby had to start this veterinary diet and I was quite reluctant to change out all of his favorite foods for this new, strict diet. Two weeks into the plan, I am relieved and pleased that so far he has taken to the food quite well. It’s clear that he still misses his yummy treats, but over time, I’m hoping that longing will pass.
Our Jimmy had stone in bladder and had to have surgically removed. Our Vet put him on this food and he really likes it. Suppose to help prevent other stones from forming. Will have first urine test next week, hoping for good results.
Unfortunately, my dog who needs this product won’t eat it however, my other dogs do. I like Royal canine prescription products and so do my 5 dogs except the one who needs to be on it.
Our 8 lb 11 year dog had to have surgery for stones. He is a very picky but he likes to the loaf Urinary SO. So we are very relieved that we found something that he enjoyes
