On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the current diet with 75% of the new diet. On Day 7, you can feed your pet the new food exclusively. Ask your Veterinarian about the best way to transition your pet to a new food.

My dog enjoys this wet food which I use to top his dry food. He cannot have any additional foods so, glad he likes it.
Great alternative/combination for the dry food. My dog will be excited as soon as she saw me with her plate!
Prescribed for Rufus because he has mild liver disease. He loves it right out of the can.no more cooking chicken for him.
we thank our veterinarian for having diagnosed and providing us with guidance for our dog who has a liver enzyme not acting properly. The food recommended was tried first in dry form but the wet form is much more welcomed by our dog. WIth respect to all sources of this prescribed diet, we very much would have liked to have received lower quantities or at least have smaller cans. Chewy, for example, ships only 24 cans per order, which consists of two 12-can cases. Likewise, Royal Canin does offer smaller volume cans with other products but not this one. Our dog is small and it takes days to go through an entire can. Chewy's good service and speedy delivery are very helpful.
Our 2yr. old male Dalmatian was switched to a prescription diet out of an over abundance of caution since Dals are prone to CSD. He was recently sick with a chronic bladder infection and the antioxidant support has really helped. His stools are great and he’s looking much better weight wise. He eats with gusto. We incorporate the wet food mixed with water into the dry food. He absolutely loves his meals throughout the day now. His coat is the softest it’s ever been and he doesn’t have any smell whatsoever. I love the overall improvement in our dog. Thank you, RC & Chewy! Highly recommend both.
Milo had a bad reaction to anti inflammatory and his liver function decreased dramatically after major surgery. I had to change his diet and I was worried I would not find anything he would like. I tried the hills science diet and he would not even touch it. The only other canned food I found for dogs with liver issues was the royal canine and as soon as I placed it in front of him he devoured it!! thank you royal canine!
Great price > I wish I could get half a case instead of whole case
I normally find my food from capital veterinary Jacksonville and recently they have not been able to attain the canned food or dry food for the hepatic diet for my dog. I was very happy to receive the package from chewy two days later it was great but every canned that I open the food is very very hard like all the water has disappeared from it.
Our vet put Olafo on it bc of his elevated liver levels. He's a 13yr old schnauzer and he went blind this past fall, which is an issue upon itself. Anyways, he's been on the food for 2mo, lost 5lbs (overweight), and has regained his energy. Unfortunately, this stuff makes him poop somewhere between mashed potatoes & liquid. Does that resleep prove me giving him metamucil capsules so hopefully it makes it a little more solid. I also wish I can get a month supply instead of 24 days
My 4 dogs have been on this food for quite awhile. The canned food was always smooth and easy to mix with dry food. However the food in these cans is very hard and dry and requires addl liquid to be able to stir it. I'm very disappointed!
