Can food is stale

I normally find my food from capital veterinary Jacksonville and recently they have not been able to attain the canned food or dry food for the hepatic diet for my dog. I was very happy to receive the package from chewy two days later it was great but every canned that I open the food is very very hard like all the water has disappeared from it.

Different consistency

My 4 dogs have been on this food for quite awhile. The canned food was always smooth and easy to mix with dry food. However the food in these cans is very hard and dry and requires addl liquid to be able to stir it. I'm very disappointed!

Happy food!!!!

Annie, our doodle, has copper storage disease. Her diet is limited to a strict reduced copper formula, kinda boring. Royal Canin is her favorite. Her bloodwork reflects consistency, her hair is healthy and she’s been on this diet for over a year now. We mix 2 TBSP of the canned food with the Royal Canin dry and add water. She thinks it’s gravy, ha! She eats 3 small meals per day to minimize the load on her liver as it digests. The gravy trick keeps the calories in check and the hard food helps to keep her teeth clean. I especially like it because I’m sensitive to strong odors and the other brand we tried made her smell unpleasant after a few days. I know, weird?!

Special food, Economy, Easy!!!

I have two senior (16 years old) Cattle Dogs. The girl has a serious condition that requires a special diet, among other needs. Chewy was recommended to me and not only turned out being cheaper than my purchases from the Vet, but I now have it set up on automatic deliveries! Cheaper and easier!!

My dog loves the taste

My veterinarian recommended Royal Canin Hepatic Loaf wet dog food to help with my dog's liver enzymes. My dog is a picky eater and I was concerned she wouldn't like it. She loved it.

My Dog w/ Copper Storage Liver Disease LOVES this

I wanted to write this incase anyone ends up in a similar situation-- My 8 yr old AmStaff pitbull has liver disease / copper storage. After a couple months on the dry kibble of this exact food, she would NOT eat it anymore even with pumpkin, chicken, bone broth, etc added in. We ordered this wet food version desperately hoping she would like it; we have not seen her this excited to eat in a VERY long time. We are so happy! The only con is the high price, since we do have to feed her 2 cans per day.. but worth it to keep our girl happy & healthy

Loved it 3 times only

We were so excited when we got the food that was good for her and she gobbled it down the first few times and now won't touch it. If we add something to it she will just pick out what we add that she likes and won't eat this dog food anymore

Food for liver health

My dog loves this wet food and her liver levels have decreased since she has been eating it. It doesn't have a bad smell at all and it keeps well in the refrigertor if she doesn't eat it all at once.

Mushy Remedy

My dog’s vet prescribed this to reduce protein intake, help the liver, and lower triglyceride count. After a couple of months, it seems to be curing these problems. The last vet appointment showed marked improvement. The only issue with this wet food is that it’s mushiness makes it hard to eat. It’s difficult to lick up and hopeless to bite into. My dog often gives up trying to eat it from the bowl and turns to me to help spoon it. It must be tasty because the bowl usually ends up cleaned.
