Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7-day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

  • Great Product

    By on

My vet recommended this food after I struggled to get my 12 year old fur baby's glucose numbers down despite changing her diet and administering insulin. I am happy to report after 3 weeks on this food her glucose reading is 85! Miraculous. She also loves this food. Eats it right up every time it is placed in front of her which takes the worry out of administering insulin if they don't eat. Love the discount received for auto ship! Great product and I highly recommend to anyone struggling to control glucose levels in a fur baby! I'm a believer!

  • just what the dr ordered

    By on

this canned dog food is in actuality "just what the doctor ordered". when hayley was diagnosed with diabetes, our vet strongly suggested a change in diet to this food. the transition was seamless and the vet is pleased with the transition from "sick" dog to "healthy" dog ( still has diabetes but it seems well controlled ). this dog food did the job. the discount for a "standing" order is a nice plus, we will be using this product with or without the discount.

  • Dog Loves It

Wanted a non diet dog food as our diabetic dog wasn't keeping his weight on while on weight management, so vet switched us to the cans above. Doing much better putting a little meat on his bones now. All is good. He eats the dry food in this category also. Would recommend both.

  • She loved it!

I was afraid she wouldn't like it because it was for Diabetic dogs. She loved it. I will order more, when it's time. She has recently been diagnosed as Diabetic. I was so afraid she wouldn't eat it, she's very finicky when it comes to food, but she did.

  • I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS SO EXPENSIVE

    By on

FINDING OUT YOUR AGING DOG HAS DIABETES IS EXPENSIVE FOR THE CONSTANT TESTING AT THE VET, LIVING ON SOCIAL SECURITY IS TOUGH ENOUGH, BUT THE ADDED COST TO SAVE MY COMPANION MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO NOT GO INTO DEBT. I HATE THE THOUGHT OF HAVING TO CHOOSE BETWEEN DEBT AND MY BELOVED DOGS LIFE. THE COMPANY DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB OF DELIVERY AND THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS AWESOME. A YOUNG MAN WAS VERY HELPFUL WHEN I NEEDED TO CHANGE MY ORDER TO EVERY 3 WEEKS.

  • My toy poodle Jacques loves it!

    By on

Jacques was recently diagnosed with diabetes. My Veterinarian recommended Royal Canin Glycobalance to regulate his blood sugar. After 3 weeks along with his new insulin regimen, Jacques's blood sugar is under control. I'm thrilled! The best part is, he loves the Glycobalance. That makes it so much easier to keep him healthy!

  • This makes feeding time much easier!

    By on

We love Royal Canin. We changed over to this after we found out my Yorkie is diabetic. He was on another type of diabetic canned dog food and he did not seem to enjoy it as much. This really makes feeding time much more enjoyable and it has less carbs that other canned foods on the market. Thanks Chewy for being so awesome and having such a great variety!

Ever since I was a puppy I had a problem eating my dry food and just like a human baby I threw it up. As I got older I developed diabetes and was put on special dry food and every once and awhile I started to well you get the picture. My owner took me to the vet time and again to find out why. Well my doctor took an x-ray and saw that I had an enlongated esoughas. Instead of the food getting into my stomach it sat in a pouch like area above my stomach and up it came. She recommended a wet food. Well it worked and love it. Since I started eating it and I have for the last two weeks it has well stayed down and I can't wait for mealtimes. I JUST LOVE IT!!!
