Key Benefits
  • Canine Dental is a complete and balanced dog food that provides precise nutrition for adult dogs while controlling plaque and tartar with kibbles specifically designed to promote chewing.

  • Formulated with a balanced protein and mineral formula that includes omega fatty acids particularly EPA & DHA to support joint health
  • Helps support the digestive system with a nutrient blend that helps regulate intestinal transit and support the intestinal microflora
  • Contains a patented antioxidant complex to support cellular and immune health: Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Lutein, and Taurine

Feeding guides are general recommendations only. The amount of food required by your dog may vary above or below that listed in this feeding guide. In consultation with your veterinarian, it is recommended that you weigh your dog 4 - 6 weeks after starting a new diet in order to adjust food intake to maintain or achieve an optimal body weight and body condition score. Consult your veterinarian for specific feeding guidelines for your dog.

This diet is formulated to be complete and balanced. It is unnecessary to feed leftover foods, kitchen scraps or additional supplements.

It is recommended that your dog be fed 2 - 4 equal portions of the diet per day. Ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times. Store this product in a cool, dry place.

Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

    Treat for pups

    By on

My vet has a cookie jar of this food to give out as treats after vet visits. My dogs love it. It is subscription food for dental. I have 4 pekes and got the big dog sized kibble to use for after dinner treats.

    Good dental chew

    By on

My vet recommended giving one large size piece of royal canine a day, for my mini schnauzers to help clean their teeth. It seems to work. Their teeth have less plague now and are definitely cleaner. Only negative is that the pieces now are smaller then when we first started using them for this purpose.

Use the larger size as a treat.

    By on

I have 2 dogs, 50 lbs and 10 lbs. The little guy had not so good plaque. My vet suggested trying this as a treat for both my dogs if I didn't want to feed this exclusively. The little guys LOVES this big kibble (about 7/8" square and 1/2" thick). I usually give 3-4 pieces with his regular food and reduce his food accordingly.

    Royal Canin... good stuff

    By on

Our 4 dogs have been eating the RC Dental Dry Dog Food for several years. They all love it as their second part of their diet (currently Blue Buffalo but often Instinct). We go through a bag a month. When I ran short they gave me a very hard time.

Great but make sure you pick the right size for your breed

    By on

I accidentally bought the size for large breed dogs for my small breed Chihuahuas...the kibble the s almost charcoal sized. The trial I had received from my vet were perfectly sized for them, but oddly enough they hated it. Even when it was the only food available, the two Chihuahuas looked at it like it was the worst thing ever. The other dog, a Manchester terrier mix loved it, but he eats dirt too. When the order from Chewy came in and we realized our mistake, we thought it was at least worth a try. This time around, everyone loved it. It was like a bowl full of milk bones to them! We will try the correct sized kibble next time, but I am glad they are happy and getting their little I accidentally bought the size for large breed dogs for my small breed Chihuahuas...the kibble the s almost charcoal sized. Royal Canin Dental dry food

    By on

We bought the 17.6 pound bag of Royal Canin dry dog food and found that the kibble was a large kibble for large dogs. We previously had purchased this food in a small bag and the kibble was small. The larger bag had no markings stating the kibble was large and our dogs are very small. We have had to cut the kibble into 6th for each feeding as our dogs can't chew the large kibble. The bag should be marked as large kibble for the future.

    Found it, yay!

    By on

Found the right kibble size in the brand I needed. No longer sold in stores, which is sad, but thanks to chewy.com I can now pick which size bag I want and not have to worry about how heavy it is to carry home.
