    Gourmet Medicine in a Can

    Recently, my critically ill feline needed palatable nutrition in order to recover. The Vet who treated her recommended Recovery, so aptly named. It was a relief for me to see her finally eat after nearly 10 days of not eating. Recovery appealed to her more than anything else had in the past. It was a relief for me to see her finally eat after nearly 10 days of not eating. Recovery appealed to her more than anything else had in the past. One suggestion I would make is that perhaps Recovery could be packaged in smaller cans. My cat could not possibly finish a can within two days so I threw out a lot of food. … more

    My cats sniffed and wouldn’t even try one bite!

    After reading how many cats who had not been eating were devouring the Recovery formula, I decided to try it for my 13 year old male. He had had a gum inflammation was losing weight from not eating as much as before, (treated by our vet) but was still having difficulty chewing so I hoped the soft texture After reading how many cats who had not been eating were devouring the Recovery formula, I decided to try it for my 13 year old male. He had had a gum inflammation was losing weight from not eating as much as before, (treated by our vet) but was still having difficulty chewing so I hoped the soft texture of this product and the reviews of how even picky eaters were lapping it up we’re going to apply to him.....so wrong! He took one sniff and proceeded to bury it under the paper towel that I place under food dishes (keeps the floor clean!) and went back to swallowing his favorite hard kibble whole because he was hungry but because of the sore gum still wasn’t eating very much. He is now eating more of his previous foods since the inflammation is down, will have a molar extracted that has a bone spur that is irritating the gum and hopefully will be back to his happy self soon. Anyway I now have over $60 worth of Recovery cans that will no doubt be donated to our local shelter soon since neither of my two females thought it was worth eating either! Wish Chewy sold a few cans as trial packs to try out before investing so much money in 24 cans of a product that might or might not be what works for your pets! … more
