    Prescribed after recent bloodwork

By DSinMd on Oct 9, 2021

My mini dachshund's recent bloodwork indicated that she might have a kidney problem, so my vet recommended putting her on a prescription renal diet for now and then checking her bloodwork again in a few months. I chose this brand because I'd used it for a different dog with a different issue in the past. It took a while for my little girl to get used to it, but I mixed it with her old food for a week and now she's eating it just fine. Whether it helps her remains to be seen.

No Sauce but my dog loves it.

By IggyPup on Aug 13, 2021

My very small picky dog loves this food. It’s patè there is no sauce at all so I’m not sure where they get the loaf and sauce from. But my dog loves it anyways. I’m glad I found a food he likes that fits his need for a renal diet.

    Loves it !

By Paulinew on Jun 22, 2021

My dog was put on a renal diet due to kidney issues. My vet recommended this food which needed a prescription in order to purchase . I was hesitant to switch foods as my dog is a very picky eater , but she loves it ! She seems more interested in eating her meals than ever before! She is also taking medications , but combined with her food , it seems like she is doing much better !

My dog won't eat this food

By Anne on Sep 10, 2021

Royal Canin states this is a "loaf in sauce wet dog food". It is dry, not wet. There is no sauce. My dog refuses to eat it.

    So far so good

By Ziggy on Jul 22, 2021

I have tried so many different kidney diet foods since my Yorkie’s diagnosis. He seems to like this a lot. He has a very sensitive stomach and handles this food well. I also like that it comes in smaller cans.

    Love the small cans

By Skye on Aug 30, 2021

For a small dog, these cans are great. With regular sized cans, the food sometimes went bad before I could eat it all.

Good for Tricking Dog with Kidney Disease

By Bobby on May 10, 2021

My 13 y/o Chiweenie has kidney disease but does not like the renal support food. So we got all the different types and flavors and blend them together to trick him. I think this is for the early stages and I don't really know how advanced my dog's disease is. I think he is more advanced but if it gets him to eat what he is supposed to, I am happy.

    Great food!

By txwizkid on Apr 11, 2021

My pup loves this food. She wasn't enthused about eating the Royal Canin Renal T wet food; it was a stickier food consistency. She also didn't like any of the Omega-3 supplements which she needs due to her renal dysplasia. I am so happy we found this food for her. Now she eats with enthusiasm and she's getting some (better than none) Omega-3 oils too. I would highly recommend this food!
