    Not For My Yorkie

By Azyorkiemom on Mar 15, 2021

Vet recommended for Yorkie puppy sensitive tummy. She refuses to eat it at all. Tried with kibble and putting topper on it. Switching to another brand. Have 21 cans to donate. starting to become very expensive.

This is for my adult dog with Inflammatory Bowel Disease

I'm not able to get Hill's Science Diet for my Chihuahua so my vet recommended to try Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Puppy formula. Although, it it higher in calories than my older Chihuahua needs, she is having better Bowel movements and less acid indigestion with this formula. For a Chihuahua, I need the smaller cans otherwise the food spoils even if the can is in the refrigerator. Hill's Science recommends that food used from the refrigerator be used no more than 5 days. A large 12.5 oz can of Hill's Science Diet, my Chihuahua can not finish in 5 days and it spoils. So a lot of food spoils. They have the 5.5 oz but you can't get it right now. So she was on the W/D formula and changing to I'm not able to get Hill's Science Diet for my Chihuahua so my vet recommended to try Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Puppy formula. Until then this is great for her stomach and she likes it very much! … more

My puppy loves it! Only food she will eat. A little expensive, but glad it is something she will eat.

    GI Puppy Diet

    By on

Our little Frenchie likes to eat all kinds of stuff that she's not supposed to. It upsets her tummy and makes the stool very soft and the vet recommended to put her on this food for a month. So far it has been helping with her soft stool and upset stomach issues and she absolutely loves the food...highly recommended.

    great choice

    By on

Our vet put our puppy on this food when she ate something she shouldn't and had a gastro upset. It got better within 24 hours. Since then we have found that Coco just has a finicky stomach and this food plus the Royal Canin gastrointestinal puppy kibble seem to be the only way to keep her gut happy. Expensive, but worth it!!!

    Great add-on

    By on

My 9 month old male German Shepherd pup suddenly developed a variety of food allergies. I successfully used the dry version of this food (his stool normalized) and added calories and flavor by using the mousse. It worked great. The pup loves the flavor and it helps him eat the dry kibble. I am not a proponent of a 100% canned food diet for my pup but as an adjunct I highly recommend asking your vet about this product...it is a prescription diet.

LIfe Saver for our tiny elderly pup

    By on

I have an elderly little dog that is beyond picky with her food. Her weight is a problem as she is underweight and simply will not eat. To add to the food problem, she must have low fat diet or digestive care food. This has been a Life Saver and wonderful help to us as she is eating it and appears to be eating better in general with no digestive issues.

    Great food, supply issues though

    By on

My Sheltie puppy had some digestive issues and this food fixed them very quickly, along with the corresponding kibble. After ordering a few cases it was out of stock the next few times we wanted to order, so we had to make another choice that would be in stock more reliably. So if you find you like it then order a lot to deal with the supply chain issues. It's a very easy to digest food, that is quite palatable and has a unique texture. My puppy also had to have oral surgery for some jaw alignment issues and the very soft texture made it great for his recovery. Highly recommended!
