Our kittens love playing with their wand toys, however - this included when we were not around and they would try to pick them up and carry it around. This toy seemed like the perfect solution for that and it was! The second I put it together one of our kittens played with it for roughly an hour straight! My one caveat is that it is indeed for kittens. Our kitten is four months old and managed to rip the spring/mouse piece off and pushes it around. We did use the glue gone to put the spring piece back in and haven't had any issues with it falling out. We've also considered securing it with a nail somewhere such as a cat tower, but either the kittens still play with it as they drag it around the house.
Seems well made and gives the cat another option to play on his own. I have not seen him play with it, but that does not mean he has not.
Just like your "peanut butter box is here" commercial, I really get excited when I see the Chewy box on my doorstep. Now if you could just train the cat not to wake me up at 3am because he thinks its time to feed him his canned cat food again!
When I pulled this toy out of the box & put it on the floor for the cat he immediately started playing with it. I turned away for a few minutes. When I came back I saw that he had lost interest because the base had been knocked over, covering the toy mouse. I then turned it upright & secured a corner of the base under something. Soon after I found the spring & mouse on the floor a few feet away from the base. It’s an engaging toy but the cat broke it in under 10 minutes.
After a few weeks my kitty still plays with it, which I consider to be a success. He especially becomes interested if I get it going for him and continue to play with him. He's not quite 2 year so still kittenish.
May cat took some time to warm up to the toy, but know she can't leave it alone
My cat loves this, keeps him busy a long time. It's small enough to not take up a lot of room but big enough for the cat to attack and play with.
This toy, even on Chewy has been difficult to find. I was checking every couple of weeks and it was in stock. I ordered five, did not meet the free shipping criteria, but it was worth it. I’m happy and Sprinkles is even happier.
I got this for my foster kittens but didn’t expect it to be so popular!! I am ordering a few more for my own cats. Everyone in my house is obsessed with this little thing!
My cats loved this at first. Lasted a few weeks. Then lost interest. I tried putting fresh catnip on it and that made it interesting for a day. After a while it was just another thing in the house. I switched it up with different toys but upon bringing it back out, no such luck. Might work, might not. Better for kittens.
