    Best Litter Ever!

So i have tried basically every litter: clay, silica, wood shavings, newspaper, but tofu-based litter is hands-down the best there is! It's made from the leftovers from developing the soy bean that would just go to waste normally. It's compostable and flushable - it just completely disintegrates in the toilet! No messing with plastic bags and taking out the litter! It completely absorbs all the smell and liquid way better than any other litter i tried! I'm so impressed. It leaves just a pleasant, neutral scent. As for all the one-star reviews saying this litter is "too dusty" I don't really understand? Maybe they haven't used any other litter before? Because it's not any dustier than say, clay litter. And I'd 100% rather breathe in natural tofu dust than toxic clay or silica dust. Also, I hope the reviewers complaining about "ammonia smell" know that tofu does NOT smell like ammonia, that's just cat pee! If you're smelling ammonia, you probably changed the litter too fast and your cat just straight up urinated outside of the box. I thought this was basic cat owner stuff, but maybe there's some cat newbies here? So, absorbs smell, easy to clean up, what's not to love? I would use this litter even if it wasn't perfect, because it will always be worth avoiding the damage clay and silica litter mining practises do to the environment! … more

    very dusty

I wanted to love this litter and gave it a few months. Unfortunately it just doesn't cut it. It does clump well but tracks more than you would exspect a large particle litter to and is EXTREMELY dusty. I'm concerned my current asthma flare up is due to this litter. Stinky and Dusty

    By on

This is probably some of the worst litter I've used. It's SOOOO dusty, combined with its lack of odor control I can smell it every day even when the box is clean. I tried it out because my favorite brand went out of business. I won't buy this one again.

    Stank and Dust

    By on

Unscented is a mischaracterization here. This litter brings a stink of its own and when mixed cat urine it’s even worse. For the shape of the litter I thought it would be low dust. However it’s just as bad as many granular shaped litter I’ve used or worse. Even when I scoop it wafts dust, not just when I pour. It clumps ok, but when the clumps are still wet they fall apart. Would not recommend this litter!

I hope you have a mask!

    By on

This stuff smells so bad of ammonia. I got this because the tofu had a little of a funk to it but my lord this one is worse. I put my bathroom fan on spray the room with Febreze wear a mask and it still almost knocks me over. Go but the Frisco tofu and your welcome.

Odor control needs to be improve

    By on

We have four cats with two little boxes. I changed one of the little box to this new tofu litter, more dust then the clay one, and the odor control is not good as I except, especially with the pea, the mixture of the odor smells bad. Many litters are in long strip shape, while scoping is hard to sift through the litter scope. But I noticed that the tofu litter last longer then the clay one.

    Earth Friendly but dusty

    By on

After trying a couple of "pellet" type litters that did NOT work for us at all, I was excited to try this more Earth friendly option. My cat accepted the litter just fine although I think he did not appreciate how the the texture of the pellets felt on his toes. There were a few things I noted about this litter. Poops just sit on top of the litter making it easy to scoop. The pellets absorb the pee quickly and it clumps pretty well for easy scooping. The cream colored pellets make it easy to separate the clean pellets from the dirty ones. The problems with this litter were 1) It's really dusty and made me and my kitty sneeze frequently 2) The pellets do track fairly easily outside the After trying a couple of "pellet" type litters that did NOT work for us at all, I was excited to try this more Earth friendly option. High dust litter

    By on

This is actually a very high dust litter, which is why I’m going to try out other tofu litters. Overall it works well as a clumping tofu litter, and one bag lasted quite a while so if you want a backup this is it.

    Best litter

    By on

It’s the cleanest, neatest litter I’ve used. Minimal tracking and the cats are very happy with it as well. Not perfumed but contains odors well. I have a couple of other boxes with conventional litter in the garage for them but they prefer this. Buying on Chewy because pet stores near me have stopped selling it for some reason and Chewy is reliable. Only drawback is that it’s fairly expensive.

Dusty and does not clump well

    By on

I’m on the fence about this product. I am looking for a litter that does not track. This one does not track but is very dusty and does not clump well. The clumps fall apart. What I like about it is the pellets are small. I ordered another brand of wood helot clumping litter and the pallets are large and my cats don’t like it. My cats have not been thrilled with either of the pelleted litters. I will need to mix in my old litter and see if I can talk them into continuing with a pellet litter.
