Stevie was put on Demarin tablets for elevated liver enzymes, but she refused to eat them, and it has to be given on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours after eating and 1 hour before), so I couldn’t crunch them up and put them in her food. Vet recommended this liquid. It does smell horrible, but I’m getting it in her. She has a checkup later this month, so fingers crossed it’s helping.
This product has brought down our dog's high liver enzymes a great amount.
this is awful stuff. MY CAT HATES IT. ITS A CONSTANT DROOL FEST WHEN I GAVE IT TO HIM...Don.t Put your cat thru it. there is much better stuff out there
This is easily one of the most disgusting-smelling medications I've ever seen. My cat wouldn't go anywhere near it. You can't mix it in food, either, because it's strong. Find an alternative.
Hepato works if your ferret (or cat) has liver issues. For ferrets a good tip is to put it in their soupie (blended chicken and water) to mask the flavor. I can’t believe so many reviews are complaining about the flavor
My holistic vet suggested this for my dog with chronically elevated liver stats. This helped bring them back down and has kept her healthy for a few years now.
I tried this, and the version labeled "chicken flavor," and my cat found both so NOT palatable that I could not get her to voluntarily accept a ML hidden in a 1/2 can of her favorite canned food. Grrrrrrr....
I usually get the pill form but my girls hate it so I figured I would try the liquid, but I feel the dropper should be sent outside the box and put when opened. The dropper was full of the sediment that I had the shake shake and shake till finally had to take out and wipe . But every time I put back in it get full of sediment that you need shake and squeezed the dropper to empty.. I guess I will be changing back to pill form. I did put on auto ship so have to wait till next shipment to change. Not really happy with it
All my cats would take their medications fairly easily. From this brand they take the amino acid B complex blend and they like it. But this one....the first and only time given to 2 of them, they ran in horror, foaming from their mouths. It has a horrible sediment in it. Not even trying again. Total waste of money.
My girl won't touch anything I put it in so I cannot tell if it works. And in her defense, it is pretty nasty smelling and looking stuff. But I have been trying everything I can to boost her a little as her liver is failing. Was disappointed this didn't work for us because I thought it had promising reviews.
