Works wonders
My elderly dog was loosing weight fast and refusing food. We tried lots and lots of different dog and people foods but nothing was working. His phosphorus was very high. My Vet recommended this, within days he was eating almost full meals, and Wow 2 weeks later he is begging for food and has more energy. Especially when starting out give them the full binder in just 2 bites of food. That way if they won’t eat more you know they got the binder. Within 3 days we were seeing a big change in his appetite. Ask your vet how much to give your pet as weight, age, etc makes a difference.
Ingredients are concerning
I only purchased this because they did not have what I normally use. I really am uncomfortable with the ingredient aluminum in this product. I was told the Dr. Harvey product was discontinued, but I really hope not. I won't use this product and will try to find something comparable to Dr. Harvey.
mishas food
This stuff appears to work very well. Misha's latest blood work shows his kidney function to be normal. We almost lost him a year ago to declining kidney function. Phos-bind coupled with IV fluid transfusions and a renal friendly diet have stabilized his kidney function.
Cat not throwing up as much
My vet recommended for my cat who is in early stages of kidney issues. It really is helping her to not throw up nearly as much. I have not had her labs rechecked yet, but I can say it is helping her to keep her food down. My instructions were to mix 1/4 teaspoon daily throughout meals (total of 1/4 tsp daily). But check with your vet for personalized instructions.
Doesn't work for my cat
I tried everything to get my cat to eat this. I mixed it in food. She eats around it and after a couple days refused to touch the food at all if this is in it.
Phos-Bind Powder
I cannot rate this product for its efficacy until my dog has repeat lab tests in 6 weeks. I had to unsubscribe; I was getting way too many emails from Chewy
Good Value
Vet recommended for our two senior dogs. Added to food and dogs eat their food just fine. Don’t even realize anything has been added. Don’t be afraid to try it and please, take advantage of scheduled reorder. Chewey is the greatest site ever. They have everything a pet owner needs and their service agents are the best in the business. Five stars to Chewey!

I am impressed by this product it does keep my dog's incontinence away during the day and night with stage 1-2 kidney deficiency ! Glad to have found this product no more spotting on the floors and rugs to clean up daily. Thanks Chewy!
Ignore the bad reviews: Dog parents NEED to hear about this
My dog was diagnosed with kidney disease and hospitalized for 5 days. We thought we were going to lose her, but slowly she started getting better. We began administering fluids under her skin and keeping her on a Renal Support diet. My vet recommended Aluminum Hydroxide gel, but she warned me that dogs hate the taste, and she would need two big syringes per day. After doing some research, I found Phos-Bind, and I was a little hesitant due to the negative reviews about the change in texture, but excited about the idea of mixing something in her food instead of an unpleasant bitter syringe twice a day. A few reviews pointed to its sand-like consistency and raised concerns that it does not dissolve and mix in water, just remains 'sand' at the bottom of the glass. I showed it to my vet, and she approved it, in spite of it's texture. I have been adding it to her food twice a day- it seems to be tasteless, as she doesn't seem to notice it. After two weeks, I took her to the vet to have her blood tested. We were ECSTATIC to hear that her disease has regressed to stage 1. Her phosphorus levels are back in the normal range, along with her creatinine. While kidney disease can never be cured, this is the best possible outcome, and I am so thankful and overjoyed. I want more parents of dogs with kidney disease to know about this option! Please just consult with your vet for the proper dosage, as every pet is different, and too much can be harmful. If your pet has kidney disease, PLEASE try this product <3
CHEWY NEVER FAILS
Chewy worked with us & our vet during the months our cat was sick. They were so helpful. Other family & friends use Chewy & recommended them to us. They showed concern over helping us care for our cat that we ultimately lost. Cannot recommend Chewy enough. Try them. You'll be glad you did.
