My dog weighs 9pds, what are the feeding instructions?
Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2019
For a 9 pound dog, start at 1/2 capsule per day. The capsule can be opened and the contents sprinkled into the food. The contents can also be mixed into a palatable vehicle such as plain yogurt and administered just prior to a meal.

Can you sprinkle the capsule or must it be given whole?

Seems to be a good product so far with many well known alternative supplements.

Seems to be a good product so far but too early to tell. Renal disease is difficult to manage and I have high hopes for this product and the oncologist approves its use.

Does what it’s supposed to

Puppies get curious about their poop. Its a natural part of their growth cycle. Puppies eating their own poop isn’t bad for them but frankly its super gross and disgusting. According to my vet, it may or may not lead to a habit of eating other dog’s poop. Needless to say my puppy started sampling her poop when she was about 3 months old. I wanted to discourage this behavior so I got these tablets and I’ve been giving her just one per day and it does the trick! Now if she poops and I am not there to immediately clean it (rarely happens but she does have accidents sometime), she leaves the poop alone and doesn’t try to play with it or eat it. People need to realize that it doesn’t cure the urge, it just makes poop less desirable smelling. So hopefully, at a puppy stage, this would discourage the habit of sampling your own produce, so to speak.

Our vet reco'd these to us

These pills were recommended by our vet. She said better than Kidney care gold. I used with pill pockets.

Helps with my dogs kidney problem and Chewy always come through for us

My dog has kidney problems and I use to purchase from the vet. I found these on Chewy, same item, for a lot cheaper and get it delivered right to my door. A lot of times my vet did not have these in stock when I needed them and my dog needs them and as usual Chewy comes through for me.

good choice

Chewy is a great place to buy pet products. Huge assortment, and a person available with whom to speak if you have questions. Quick delivery, well-packaged.

No! Do not try

Made both of my dogs sick! One started vomitting and the other started regressing in their kidney symptoms. Both dogs got better when I stopped, do not risk it.

Our vet likes this better than other kidney support supplements. So far so good!
