Train Harder—Recover Quicker

Equi-Tape

Kinesiology taping practices started with human athletes where it demonstrated its successfulness in rehabilitation, prevention, and training. The procedure gained popularity during the 2012 Summer Olympics due to widespread exposure and has since become a mainstream modality used by professional human athletes and health-care professionals. The jump from human to equine seemed only reasonable after its displayed history of successful use in the world of human athletics, and thus Equi-Tape was conceived. Developed by Dr. Beverly Gordon in 2005, Equi-Tape became the first kinesiology tape designed specifically for horses. The mechanism by which Equi-Tape affects the body is completely different from that of non-elastic athletic tapes of the past. It is based on its ability to interact with the skin and associated neurosensory mechanoreceptors. Equi-Tape doesn’t compress tissue, allowing it to increase circulation and support the muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments. Equi-Tape provides you and your horse with a simple and easy-to-use technique to support healing and athletic potential perfect for daily riding, training, or therapy.
