Go Cat

It all began in the 1980s, when the Go Cat founder began entering her cat, Baby Ruth, into cat shows. It was quickly apparent that the market had a serious lack of interactive cat toys, and so the seeds were planted. She decided to take matters into her own hands, and began crafting her own toys using feathers and sticks. Friends and fellow cat show participants starting asking to buy the toys, followed by vendors and local pet stores, and the demand hasn’t slowed down since. Soon, the Go Cat founder was recruiting her husband and son, and even neighbors and friends to keep up with the orders. They had a Eureka moment during this time, and fine-tuned the prototype into its current design, and the company was officially started. Today, the business is still run by the family, and they use over 40 crafters throughout central Michigan to ensure the quality of their handmade toys.
