Research-Based Companion Bird Solutions

Hari

Located near Montreal, Quebec, Hari—also known as the Hagen Avicultural Research Institute—is a research institute establishment built in 1985 to promote the welfare of companion birds. Under the direction of Mark Hagen, a Psittacine Aviculturist—also known as parrot specialist—they spend a great deal of time conducting captive breeding maintenance and research into innovative bird husbandry, nutrition and disease control. Because one of the major areas of research carried out at Hari focuses on nutrition, they know what pet birds need to thrive. That’s why they provide bird parents with nutrient-dense foods that are high in essential nutrients needed for optimum coloring, healthy feathers and ideal weight and stress response. Plus, they also focus on taste to ensure that birds love eating the food that’s actually good for them! Plus, to share their experience, Hari constantly publishes research on topics such as disease control, pair bonding, nutrition and the influence of temperature, humidity and light cycles on breeding, to promote more knowledgeable bird owners, and in turn, healthier companion birds.
