    Great for Short Hairs

    My 20 year old flea combs started to bend and pull hair rather than slide through grabbing the fleas. I read through reviews for 4-5 different combs and decided to try the Safari brand. This comb is perfect for 2 of our cats. It slides sleakly through their short hair and we were pulling dozens of the buggers off each time. It didn't work well for one boy with a course undercoat, nor did it work for our long-hair girl, but no worry! Safari has a version of this same comb for long-hair dogs that works wonderfully for the thicker coats of cats.     A PAIN literally

    The teeth on this comb are too short and not very good for a long haired cat. Perhaps it may work for a short haired cat. My long haired cat did not appreciate my use of this product in her grooming session. I had to switch to another product specifically designed for long haired kitties. I know it is designed as a flea comb. I did not use it for that purpose since my cat is flea free. However, it should not get caught in any cat's hair, especially one that does not have any issues such as matting etc. Can't find my stainless steel comb that I have used successfully for years. That too was a "flea comb" but with longer teeth. … more
