Are the pin tips coated or bare? I can't tell from the image, and the description doesn't say. My old lady cat (19) doesn't tolerate the bare pin tips well, even with more gentle brushing.

This brush has stainless steel pins and the tips are not coated.
Once you have brushed your cat, how do you remove the cat hairs caught in the brush?

When the brush starts to fill up with hair, go to the corner of the brush and lift up the hair that is caught in the brush and pull up and it should come right up and out. You could also use a comb of some sort to clear it out also.

The brush is 7 ½ inches in total overall length. The Bristle area is 2 inches long by 2 1/4 inches and double sided.

Waste of Money

Very dissapointed with this brush. It hardly removes any hair at all from long haired Maincoon cat. It is also too small to use on a large cat. It is a waste of time for me to brush him with it. Bristles are too long & hard. My older worn out brush with bristles missing still can remove hair better than this one. For the price thought it would be a good one. Not at all!!

Best cat brush for sensitive cats!

Both my short-haired cat and my long-haired cat adore this brush. It is a good size, small enough to be maneuverable around a cat's contours. The flexible head really improves the comfort and ease of use, and it helps avoid the cats' tendency to scratch their faces too hard when they get excited. One of my cats in particular tends to get overstimulated quickly and want to stop with other brushes, but with this brush, she continues enjoying the brushing for several minutes longer. I definitely recommend this brush.

Great for gently breaking up matted fur

This is an amazing brush for breaking up knots in my cata fur. It gently pulls matted fur out from the remaining fur. My cat doesn't even notice the mats coming out. Sometimes it takes a few brush sessions for large mats to come out fully but, even then, I can see the matting sticking out more from the rest of her fur. Sometimes the mat even "falls" out before the next brushing session or I can grab it at the end and gently pull it the rest of the way out. I was really surprised at how well it works. It is almost like magic considering how difficult it was with any other brush I've tried.

BEST CAT HAIRBRUSH

This Brush is the BEST I have ever bought to brush my long and short hair cats! They both look forward to their "treat"! I highly recommend this brush!
