The safety stop works by flipping the piece located on the side, from the down position to the up position.

WORST EVER!

I don't usually write negative reviews but these are by far the worst clippers I have ever purchased. First they are very dull. I had to squeeze hard to get them to cut and then they made a loud noise with every cut. My dog has always been great about getting his nails done but he began to get nervous. The spring that is designed to open up the clipper after every cut only partially worked. I had to reopen them after each nail. And lastly, while using them my hand got pinched in the clippers and now I have a painful blood blister on the base of my index finger. Could not be more unhappy with this product.

something has changed

We have purchased these clippers before and they were great, so I was surprised to see the bad reviews. Well something has clearly changed because these are the WORST clippers we’ve ever used. You have to crank down so hard to even clip and then the nail splits. Really disappointing.

Useful trimmers

Bought these trimmers for my son who has a puppy. He has not used them yet but they appear to be a quality product. I am sure they will service their purpose.

High quality & precise

These are the same clippers our groomer used and we can see why! They are firm to hold, clip precisely, and are easy use! Great for our dog who has very thick black nails that grow fast enough to be clipped every 2 weeks .

Huge difference!

My last clippers must have dull because all of my dogs acted like I was trying to kill them. These clippers make trimming nails quick and easy and no longer a full body workout struggle. There is a plate that prevents cutting too short. This is listed med/lg dogs but it also works fine on my little ones.

Not impressed with the large size

I had previously purchased the small clippers and really liked them. They were then out of stock for a long time, so I had to switch to a different nail trimmer. Once these came back in stock, I purchased the large one since my dog had grown fully. I absolutely hate the large trimmer. The blade seems dull and tugs on my dog's nails. Never gives a clean, smooth cut. My dog never had a problem with his nails being cut before, but this one made him very upset.

Really Good!

I bought these nail trimmers for my rabbits and they work perfectly! They cut super easy and clean! I have smaller type rabbits and I’m using the medium/large size and they are perfect. They feel great in my hand and easy to hold. Very happy with them.

Very dull compared to my last.

I bought these seeing they had so many stars, I guess I should’ve read the reviews though. I just took them out of the package, they’re so dull! They tug on my dogs nails and they don’t cut well because of that. They’re also very loud!

Perfect for Puppy nails

I have a 7.5 week old Vizsla puppy. I ordered these for his tiny sharp nails and they cut smoothly and quickly. Definitely helped to make his first nail trim with me to be less stressful!

Worst ever!

These are the worst clippers ever. They don't provide a clean cut. They are dull and they separate when you try to clip the nail. I feel like I tortured my dog clipping their nails. I've never had an issue with that. Very disappointing
