Easy Nail Clippers
By Lindsey on Jan 12, 2021
I bought these to start clipping my German Shorthaired Pointers nails at home rather than making a vet trip every 6 weeks. They were VERY easy to use which is a must have... Trying to keep a 9 month old GSP to be still is not the easiest task, but these helped the process go by quicker. I also loved the guard. This is my first dog, so I was definitely afraid of cutting too short... The guard helped ease that fear a little.

Good quality
By Slickteig on Dec 31, 2020
These seem to be well made and like they’d work great. I haven’t been able to use them though because I selected the large size and it didn’t actually update it and now I have a pair of small/medium $8+ nail clippers I can’t use on my lab...which isn’t the product fault so still gets 5 stars.

Finally able to trim my dogs nails!
By Jennifer on Dec 30, 2020
I’ve never been able to trim my dogs nails. I’ve always had the guillotine-style clippers which my dogs hate, not to mention they don’t seem to trim the mail cleanly, fracturing or breaking it. These trimmers were awesome — didn’t scare the dog and did a clean trim in one cut. Highly recommend.

Seem to work great
By Jerseygalrocker on Dec 11, 2020
I’ve never clipped dog nails until these arrived and I have to say I think these clippers seem great so far. I have a 30 pound lab mix and the small clippers were the correct size. The safety stopper is great because it only allows for the tiniest of clippings so I didn’t feel like I was at risk of hurting my dog.

No complaints here!
By novatheminiaussie on Jan 3, 2021
I like that it has adjustable sizing. Good design to help prevent you from accidentally quicking your dogs nail. Definitely do some positive association training if your pup is new to nail clipping!

amazing clippers
By Hannah on Jan 15, 2021
These clippers are so much better than the standard clippers. They make such a clean cut and that helps ease my dogs anxiety of nail trimming. Thanks chewy!!

Initially great, Spring problems 1 yr in
By CarefulClipper on Oct 23, 2020
I bought these a year ago and average one large breed dog's nails per week. They make a louder "click" than some other brands (so more training is required on sound to keep the dogs calm) but are sharp enough to compensate. Recently, I've noticed that I'm pinching my palm when cutting larger nails. Painful, but I figured it was normal and just a result of navigating thick nails and the price to pay for having the more lightweight, maneuverable design. Now, however, I'm seeing that the spring is not pushing the clippers fully apart as it should, resulting in less leverage (hence the pinch?) and requiring that I manually open them more before gripping a nail. Just be aware that if you cut nails a lot, you might encounter some wear and tear and need to make them an annual buy or put up with some hassle. … more

Great for cats too!
By MeeShell1020 on Oct 29, 2020
I've had my same brand nail trimmer for several years and I noticed that my cat's nails weren't cutting as sharply so decided to replace them. Looks like Safari has improved the design as the lock is metal and doesn't move easily causing me to put it down in the middle of clipping nails. They are nice and sharp and cut nails with ease and no pain to my cats. I highly recommend this brand and especially this newer version for cats.

Super sharp!
By Kiri on Oct 30, 2020
They work really well! The clippers I had previously were old guillotine-style clippers so I decided it was time to get an upgrade. These are nice and sharp, which means I don't need as much pressure to make a cut. My dog is quite pleased about that! He tolerated the nail trim much more with these. The safety guard is a little in the way for me but looks removable (or at least movable) with a tool.

Do not recommend
By Dash on Jan 15, 2021
I ordered this size because we have 20 pound dogs. They do not cut well at all, and only seem to crush the nail. For us, they were awful.
