My dog is 4 1/2 years old and I've had other dogs before her. This is the first time EVER that I've been able to trim my dog's nails by myself. Usually, I have to have another person hold my pup while I clip (or vise versa). These are so easy to use! I sat on a chair (with treats beside me) and cut her nails so quickly and easily. Usually I have to have to take her to the vet or groomers to get it done, which gets expensive. My little wiggly pup was finally able to sit still and let me clip her nails with these. They are sharp, so they don't pull at her nails and hurt her, and it takes less time and effort for me to clip her nails. My only regret is I wish I'd bought these years ago!
My dog was afraid of them

These probably won't get much use, if any. My dog doesn't like his nails to be trimmed, and squirms and I thought the guard would make it easier for me to finish quickly but it makes him so nervous, we will have to get a nail dremel instead. I think it's the shock of the clip happening all at once and he has clearly been in some serious pain before by someone else doing his nails given the way he reacts to it. He won't even let anyone near his feet but me! May not be the fault of the clippers, but I found the guard difficult to use and not nearly steady enough for the job I have to do.
I love these nail clippers!!

I work at a kennel so every shift we have to cut a dogs nails before sending the puppy home. We have 4-5 different nail clippers and personally, these work the best and even after using it on 100+ dogs, they are still sharp and get the job done super quick. The nail clippers I have at home don’t even compare so I just bought these for myself to make life so much easier and I’m so excited for them to ship. They even come with a little plate on the back to make sure you don’t cut too much at once’ 10/10 would recommend!!
Easy and foolproof

These are great nail clippers for small to medium dogs. They're easy to use even with limited grip strength. I was able to trim all of my dog's nails without any fatigue. (Although my dog doesn't mind nail trims, so it was a rather fast task). They're sharp and have a guard, so it appears they will last a long time. I didn't get much nail splitting or torque. The nail edges were sharpish, but you could either do a quick electric file or basic nail file to clean that up. If these come in a large dog size I will pick up another pair.

Used these for the 1st time yesterday. Love them. Nice and sharp, no more splintered nails. Quick stop works well. Very nice size for small hands would buy again. I was undecided between 2 different ones when I purchased, I made my decision based on reviews! Thanks to all for sharing your opinions
Easy to use

I chose this nail trimmer for use on my shichon because the ones I had were poor quality and my dog didn't like having her nails trimmed with them. I consulted with groomers at Pet Smart who recommended the Safari trimmer saying they remain sharp for a long time and they dont split the nails. I've used them once and my dog stayed calm during the process and we got good results.
These are nice and work great

I have 2, 5 month old pups that are 40 lbs. I had been using the small nail trimmers but now that pups are getting bigger small ones were a little too small, I tried other trimmers but they were too big.. These are a perfect size. I would call them medium sized. Easy to handle and great size for my pups at this size and weight and should be fine when they get larger too.
Awesome upgrade from old clippers

We have used clippers in the past but recently couldn't find the clippers after giving up on the electric filer. He tried to run away from the electric filer and it took forever. I hadn't realized how dull the old clippers had gotten until I used these! I love that there is a safety on them so you dont accidentally cut too far. Our 90 lb pitbull's nails are looking good again!

I have small dogs and it seems as if most of the clippers were big and clunky to get by their toenails. These are nice and small for my hands and to get around their little nails. Hopefully they will stay sharp for quite a while.
Great nail trimmer!

Our senior dog is too anxious for the groomer and too scared of the sound of the nail grinder we’ve used for years. We bought this trimmer and followed the directions- my husband just clips one nail a day until all of them are a good length. We bought stypic powder in case we accidentally cut the quick but the guard on the trimmer has so far prevented any too short clips which is awesome! I wish we had gotten this sooner!
