I have an Apple head chihuahua and a half breed tea cup chihuahua (she’s more full size than tea cup) and these clippers worked perfectly for them in a time of need! Because my girl dog doesn’t bite her snails to sharpen and straighten them out like my boy dog her nails were growing into her pad. We had an appointment to get them cut but it was canceled due to covid, I ended up buying these out of sheer panic even though the last time I tried to cut her nails she freaked.
Thankfully I was able to get it done in record time, although I did have to go back and touch up the nails that were growing into her paw pad. My boy dog had super sharp and straight nails so it wasn’t hard to cut his. If you’re afraid, it’s very simple and easy but if your dog is like mine and is scared try giving them a treat to eat while clipping their nails. Something they really like, worked every time.… more

I have had doggies for years so I purchase many items for my "kids"! I used to go from pet catalog to pet catalog looking for the greatest deals and perfect items but as time when on I realized that no one serviced me better or cared more about what I needed for my "fur babies" and went above and beyond their job to make sure I had everything my "kids" so now I look no further and "Chewy" and my orders are always perfect!!! So thank you to you all that do your job so very, very well and very professional about everything!
Good so far

I'm a first-time puppy owner so I'm learning as I go and have nothing to compare to as far as trimmers go. For reference, I ordered the small/medium for my now 19lb., almost 5mo. puppy. Anyway, I never take his nails all the way to the safety stopper because 1., I'm too scared and 2., as another reviewer mentioned, I also feel that the safety stop is too far and would catch his nerves. For the first time the other day I clipped his nail to the nerve and that was without taking it to the stopper. Also, I feel that his nails are left kind of rigged afterward so I use a regular nail file to smooth out the edges a bit-- Less scratching on our human skin when he's excited to see us!
Well made clippers

I purchased these clippers so that we could clip our dog's nails ourselves while the groomers are closed. It was our first attempt and these did a terrific job. They are sharp enough to clip and easy to use. There is a plate to keep you from clipping too close. We did all her nails without mishap. She is a miniature dachshund so they work great on smaller dog's.
I am sure that these are great, but I still have not received them.

My pet has been waiting for a nail trim since I lost my old pair a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a new pair immediately, but they haven't arrived yet. I completely understand that COVID has slowed processing and shipping down, but since you are accepting order doing the pandemic, PLEASE send these out. My rabbit really needs a trim right away. Thank you. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

I don't know if this was just a factory reject pair or if they are all this bad! The 5 year old pair I have trims nails easier. After cutting 1st paw of my dog I switched back to old clippers. I'm sure glad I didn't throw them away. They new pair...they went straight into the garbage!
Very Good Quality

I'm surprised that this nail clipper worked well. My vet told me to get this type of nail clippers and it made me feel confident to cut my own dog's nail. It makes you feel in control and it's sharp to make clean cuts. I definitely recommend this clippers.
Quick and Painless!

These are great. I long ago stopped trying to cut my Maltese’s nails myself because he gets so very upset every time. But hello, quarantine! With no grooming appointments in the foreseeable future, I knew it was time to step up to the plate. These clippers were very sharp, powerful, and easy to grip. The safety stop gave me some piece of mind that I wouldn’t cut too far, even if my dog wriggled during the process. Totally recommend! I also recommend a vet-prescribed sedative 2 hours before clipping—much less stressful for everyone!
I've repurchased 3 times.

I always lose my dogs' nail clippers but once I found these, I kept repurchasing. I like how easily they cut their nails and that it has the stopped to prevent hitting the quick.
I use them on small dogs.

making this review short......its early, haha. anyway, I have a min pin who HATES his feet touched. hd to take him to the vet just for a nail trim.... took two techs to hild him and a muzzle! Now that he is 11 his nails grow quickly. cant afford to take him in so often. These nails were a blessing!!!! he hardly knows that I just clipped his nail. no fussing at all. these are great. Love the price also.
