The Safari Professional Nail trimmer for dogs is made from the finest quality stainless steel which will give you a long-lasting, sharp cutting edge that will stand the test of time.
Uniquely designed to offer you a non-slip, comfortable grip that will allow you maintain control when trimming your dog's nails. This will also help prevent any painful accidents.
Great for both professional groomers and pet parents alike.
Features a double-bladed cutter with a tension spring that helps ensure a swift clean cut. This makes nail trimming less like a chore and is great for left or right hand use.
Innovative safety stop greatly reduces risk of injury.
Holding the paw firmly, trim top of nail with a single stroke. Be careful to stop short of the quick, the blood vessel inside the nail. Use safety stop to prevent trimming nails too short. If pet's nails are very long, trim a small amount. Repeat every 7-10 days until nails are at desired length. Monthly trimming should be sufficient thereafter.
I have little strength & and my partner has nerve damage in his hand so for us these trimmers are too hard to use. Neither of us can get enough force to actually cut our dogs nails without causing injury; even though there is a metal guard on the trimmers to prevent that from happening.
Useless for this household and 51 Lb. dog, the product itself seems well made though.

We have struggled with clipping our dogs nails. It gets expensive taking to grommr or vet, read the other reviews and didn't have anything to lose. These are the best.vthey have a stopper guard as not to cut to close, very little noise and it was a pleasant experience with our Smokey. You can't go wrong in buying these.
Simple to use

Wished I had gotten these sooner. Purchased an electric trimmer because I was afraid with these I'd cut my dog. She DID NOT like the electric one and it ended up being wasted money. She doesn't love when I use these on her, but I can do 1 or two nails at a time. They are very sharp, so nice clean cut and it's quick.

Really impressed with these! Sturdy, strong and steady in your hand. The clipper end appears to be very sharp and trims easily. I brought them into my vet for a tutorial when he had his nails trimmed there as I'm not so great at it - haha! The vet tech there said they are better than theirs!
Best nail trimmers EVER!

These are the best nail clippers I've ever purchased! They are very sharp so you get a clean cut and best of all have the guard so you don't clip too much...I was much more relax which made our Jackie girl even more relaxed during the procedure. Great Buy!
sturdy and easy to use

These nail clippers are great! As a professional dog groomer I tend to run through cheap nail clippers faster than water through a sieve, but these have quickly become my favorite pair. The grip section is perfect and easy to hold on to, while the clippers themselves stay sharp and don’t take too much hand-strength to use. Perfect for big dogs with tough nails!
Great for a first time nail clipper

Got these for my grey and I had never trimmed dog nails before. After seeing many people do it andb learning how tolerant my girl was, I decided to give it a go. These are great and cut nicely/cleanly without too much resistance. I like the guard as well. I don't even put the nail that far in, but it's nice to have a barrier too prevent me from slipping. After several nail trimmings, I am very pleased.
Do not buy

This is the worse dog nail clipper I have ever used. I have always had between 2 to 6 rescued dogs in my family at one time for the last 50 years so I have cut a lot of nails and have used many different brands of clippers but these were by far the worse one.
They are very difficult to use, not sharp at all, took a lot of strength to cut, and pinched my hand and my dogs are between 75pds and 95pds so unfortunately I can not use or even donate them

These are perfect for me. Small size and easy to grip. My dog Gizmo didn’t mind getting his nails trimmed. The other trimmers I have bought doesn’t even compare to these.
I have Chihuahuas
on Jul 8, 2019
We have all Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. This worked good. They are quite patient with me. I use this first then the Dremel so they aren’t sharp and quick stop just in case. Flour also works in a pinch but not nearly as well as quick stop.
Blade is sharp. Didn’t squeeze or shred their nails and it’s quick and to the point. Sometimes having one person hold the pet and one cut is ideal.
