    Great for large dogs!

    I've been struggling to cut my German Shepherd's nails with our nail trimmers, and I was scared of accidentally splitting his nail with our cheap trimmers. I knew it was time for an upgrade. These ones seemed to have good reviews so we gave it a shot. We've only used them once so I can't speak to their durability, but doing his nails was so much easier with these! I love that they have a guard on them so I can quickly line up the trimmers without worrying about hitting the quick, and they are so much stronger and sharper than the other trimmers we've been using. … more

    Guard is too far off the blades

    It's a decent pair of trimmers but some adjustments need to be made. If you trim your dog's nails consistently you shouldn't be taking that much off every time. The safety guard on these is way too far away in my opinion. If I used it as a guide I would make every single one of my dog's nails bleed, It's a decent pair of trimmers but some adjustments need to be made. If I used it as a guide I would make every single one of my dog's nails bleed, and he weighs 50+ lbs. I can only imagine what it would be like on a smaller dog. It does it's job as far as trimming but I would be very wary of using the safety guard as a gauge for how much nail you should be cutting off. … more
