I have a golden puppy that will let me, brush her teeth, brush her, clean her ears, ect. but as soon as you touched her feet she flipped out and turned into the devil. I had a bigger pair of clippers so figured I would try these. They arrived smaller than I thought, but ended up being perfect for handling and hiding in the palm of my hand so she didn't see me coming. I slowly started introducing her to these and low and behold she let me clip 3 nails! This was winning in my book. HA... 3 is better than none. As of today I have been able to get up to 5 nails and I know slowly she will let me start to do them all at once. So while these are small, they are perfect for the baby. I have Chihuahuas
on Jul 8, 2019
We have all Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. This worked good. They are quite patient with me. I use this first then the Dremel so they aren’t sharp and quick stop just in case. Flour also works in a pinch but not nearly as well as quick stop.
Blade is sharp. Didn’t squeeze or shred their nails and it’s quick and to the point. Sometimes having one person hold the pet and one cut is ideal.
Dog nail clippers

Hands down the best clippers I’ve come across. I don’t have to worry about hurting my dog or cutting her nails to short and she ends up bleeding. Def you get your moneys worth, strongly recommend it
Tool good, guard not sure
on May 8, 2019
These trimmers cut great! Very sharp and comfortable to use. But I discovered that I can't trust the depth guard to prevent cutting to the quick. Since my dog has black nails that are bit of a guessing game as far as how far is safe to cut, I decided I would use the nail guard to determine the depth I should cut. First nail I cut to the quick. Maybe that's not it's purpose, not sure, but if it has another purpose, I've not figured it out. I just move the guard out of the way and clip a little bit at a time until I think I can't push it anymore.
Best trimmers ever
on May 30, 2019
We have gone through multiple trimmers and these are by far the best, especially for being so affordable! The guard is really helpful for not cutting too short (a huge fear of mine), and the edges are sharp for a clean cut, not jagged. These make nail trimming super quick! We have to do it often for our GSD so everyone is much happier with these trimmers

As a vet tech I use these on a daily basis at work instead of using the community tools. I can’t say enough how much I love to use these. They are comfortable to hold, cut nicely without splintering nails, they do not seem to be as imposing as the other kinds. I have gotten dogs who freaked out at the other clippers to allow me to use these without much fuss. Have not dulled yet, which is a feat! I use these on my personal pets as well. Will buy again!
Excellent for puppies and larger dogs

I recently purchased this to use on both a corgi puppy and a full grown Australian Shepherd mix. It is an extremely easy to use and sharp nail trimmer. I was able to trim both dogs' nails without much fuss. They also have a great hand grip and are not at all bulky to use. They have a guard built in as well, which was extremely useful. My Australian Shepherd mix is 65+ pounds, so even though it has a larger option, this one worked perfectly for both dogs.

Fantastic! Easy to use! I’ve got a 4-month Old English Bulldog & his nails were really growing fast. Using these clippers were quick, had a guard for safety and my puppy was not anxious & didn’t mind at all.
A lot less scary than the drill
on Jul 10, 2019
I tried the drill once, on my Min Pins. Although it was effective, it was stressful and took too long. The Clippers were an optimal solution, quick and easy. I'm very grateful

These are a solid nail trimmer. They cut our Corgi's nails clean. The guard keeps from trimming to short, but you need to still be careful when cutting nails with this type of clippers.
