Lasy yr we went through a tragic of a house fire, my boys where so overwhelmed and high anxiety their first trip to a new groomers didn't go so well. So i decided to order from Chewy for the 1st time and also order not only dog food but these nail clippers!!! My pups have never been so excited for their human to be pampering them (besides bath's)!! The clippers are big enough for my almost 5 yr old german shepherd and small enough for my 4 yr old puggle and 11mnth old german shepherd. Reccomend to anyone!
AMAZING! Best and easiest nail clippers!

My dog is 4 1/2 years old and I've had other dogs before her. This is the first time EVER that I've been able to trim my dog's nails by myself. Usually, I have to have another person hold my pup while I clip (or vise versa). These are so easy to use! I sat on a chair (with treats beside me) and cut her nails so quickly and easily. Usually I have to have to take her to the vet or groomers to get it done, which gets expensive. My little wiggly pup was finally able to sit still and let me clip her nails with these. They are sharp, so they don't pull at her nails and hurt her, and it takes less time and effort for me to clip her nails. My only regret is I wish I'd bought these years ago!

They are good clippers, I was able to do my last German Shepherds nails pretty well, they tend to get very aincy when it comes to getting their paws touched. She's started figuring out the smell and look of it; can't come near her anymore. Not sure if it's the clippers or just her nature but I think she can smell that rubber on there. Who knows.

My dachshund is scared of the nail dremel, and it had been a while since I had tried clippers. I was not expecting much, I assumed he wouldnt like these either. He still doesnt love nail trimming, but at least he will now tolerate a few quick clips before he needs a break. The guard on the back really helps too, making sure that I dont trim off too much at once.
My dog was afraid of them

These probably won't get much use, if any. My dog doesn't like his nails to be trimmed, and squirms and I thought the guard would make it easier for me to finish quickly but it makes him so nervous, we will have to get a nail dremel instead. I think it's the shock of the clip happening all at once and he has clearly been in some serious pain before by someone else doing his nails given the way he reacts to it. He won't even let anyone near his feet but me! May not be the fault of the clippers, but I found the guard difficult to use and not nearly steady enough for the job I have to do.
I love these nail clippers!!

I work at a kennel so every shift we have to cut a dogs nails before sending the puppy home. We have 4-5 different nail clippers and personally, these work the best and even after using it on 100+ dogs, they are still sharp and get the job done super quick. The nail clippers I have at home don’t even compare so I just bought these for myself to make life so much easier and I’m so excited for them to ship. They even come with a little plate on the back to make sure you don’t cut too much at once’ 10/10 would recommend!!
Easy and foolproof

These are great nail clippers for small to medium dogs. They're easy to use even with limited grip strength. I was able to trim all of my dog's nails without any fatigue. (Although my dog doesn't mind nail trims, so it was a rather fast task). They're sharp and have a guard, so it appears they will last a long time. I didn't get much nail splitting or torque. The nail edges were sharpish, but you could either do a quick electric file or basic nail file to clean that up. If these come in a large dog size I will pick up another pair.

These clippers work well for my Malamute’s large, thick nails. I prefer taking off little slivers to minimize any pinching but they can take off big pieces with no problem. I’ve had it for over a year and they’re still sharp.

Used these for the 1st time yesterday. Love them. Nice and sharp, no more splintered nails. Quick stop works well. Very nice size for small hands would buy again. I was undecided between 2 different ones when I purchased, I made my decision based on reviews! Thanks to all for sharing your opinions
Easy to use

I chose this nail trimmer for use on my shichon because the ones I had were poor quality and my dog didn't like having her nails trimmed with them. I consulted with groomers at Pet Smart who recommended the Safari trimmer saying they remain sharp for a long time and they dont split the nails. I've used them once and my dog stayed calm during the process and we got good results.
