Love this brush! Honestly I must not have been paying too close of attention when I bought it because I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of cleaning the hair out! We have a large dog who sheds a lot in the summer and this definitely helped clean his coat up!
Best slicker brush EVER!

I almost never write product reviews, but was so impressed with this well made slicker brush! Ergonomic handle w/ rubberized thumb pad makes it a pleasure to use and the cleaner-button is so well designed that it leaves zero stray hairs!

Works as claimed. Push the button on the top and all hair comes off in one clump for easy disposal. It's easier to pull the brush against the hair instead of pushing it.
Would Recommend... But NOT For ALL Breeds

I have a black English lab, and a bull terrier. The bull terrier was the one who was more intrigued by the brush, but quickly grew fed up with the scratchiness after just a couple minutes. My lab, who was originally disinterested with the brush, now runs right to me the moment he sees me pick it up. It is his new favorite brush, but my bull refuses to let me touch her with it again. With my lab serving as my guide dog, I brought the brush with me today in my dog care backpack, and tried using the brush on my friend's three dogs. One is a German Shepherd, one is a smooth coated Dachshund, and the third is a boarder collie. The smooth coated dog reacted similarly to my terrier with a similar coatI have a black English lab, and a bull terrier. The other two, having long hair, adored the brush as much as my lab. I am left to assume that this brush is for dogs with particular coats. I can definitely say that this brush would be great for any double coated dog, but stay away from it if your dog has a short or smooth coat! As another note... the self cleaning is WONDERFUL!… more
Too hard for my long-haired chihuahua

I bought this brush because my previous slicker got full of hair, so I thought this would be a good solution. Not only is the small sized not very small at all, but it is rough. It doesn't have the soft/cushioned tips and when I run it along my arm it scratches me. Every time I use it on my dog she tenses up and squirms away. She doesn't do that with my soft-tipped slicker - in fact she likes being brushed with the other one. Also, why is the small slicker more expensive than the medium-sized one?

This brush works well on my Golden Retriever who has a very thick coat. When it fills up you just press the button on the back and the hair drops out. If really full you may have to pull it out of the brush, but you only need to give it a little tug and all of the hair comes out as a whole clump.
Love this product!

This brush is awesome. It picks up the hair very well from my dog and doesn’t pull. My dog loves it. He even rolls over so I can do his belly. Additionally the hair removal is the easiest ever.
amazing for short haired breeds!

I have a brush coat mini shar pei who goes through WICKED seasonal shedding. I used to use a normal slicker brush to but I would have to use the vacuum hose to clean it almost every pass on her fur which obviously didn't help her stay calm. This brush gets the job done so much quicker and without the hassle of having to use another brush to clean out the fur or the dreaded vacuum to suck it up. I can see how it might not work with long haired breeds but for my dog it's perfect.

Good and sturdy, works like the package said it would. The self cleaner works great. It's great for keeping the tangles out.
