Finally a Brush That Works

I have a long haired Turkish angora and the bristles on this brush are perfect. No other brush that I've tried has gotten off do much fur. The push button on the brush actually pushes the fur to the tips of the bristles. I've tried 2 other of these kinds of brushes and this one is the most effective. Plus side: my cat loves it.

Nice brush but need to know how to use

Maybe I was dumb... But I just found out how to use the brush! We need to lift the handle a bit and brush the fur at a 45° angle. Or else it's too sharp especially for shorthair babies. My cat hated this brush so much the first two times when I groomed him. But with the correct method he was even asleep on my lap when I brushed him. I wish they have an instruction or something to remind us how to brush. I hope this review can help some fur babies to avoid bad experience!

Bad Tool for Cat

I just received the brush today and it's already broken. When I pressed the button on the back to release the hair, it bent some of the metal brush spikes and now it won't retract all the way. Out of the three brushes I've bought, this is the worst one.

I Wish I Had This Day ONE!

This brush is the perfect grooming tool for my two 17-year old super senior felines! Oh how I wish I had this for them since they were babies. The bristles are strong enough to do the job, and gentle enough to not tear their fur out. My boy is sensitive and isn't a fan of grooming tools, but he likes this one! It's curved to the shape of their bodies, and it's truly easy to use and clean! Thank you Thank you Thank you to whomever designed this wonderful brush!!

Love this brush!

This Safari Self-cleaning brush for cats gets all the excess hair out and my cats love it!! The best part, it's half the price of the Furminator which I had purchased a couple of years ago. I loved the Fuminator but you have to be careful since the comb is so fine & it's a metal comb. I loved the Safari so much...I had to purchase it for a friend of mine since she mentioned she was combing her cat with a regular old comb. My friend loves it & so does her kitty!!

This brush is great!

So far I've only used this on one of my cats (the others have ring worm for another week or two). Zoey loves it and actually tolerates brushing, which is new. Normally she'd run off if I had a traditional brush. The cleaning feature works really well and the slicker is able to pull out a ton of dead hair. I think both Zoey and I were shocked when we saw how much was coming out!

Not very effective

Does not work very well for our long hair. Just seems to loosen the fur a little. If I pet her after brushing there will be a ton of loose fur the brush did not gather. The prongs are too sharp for medium hair kitties so it just sits on the shelf most of the time...

Self Cleaning Wonder

I love the way this brush brings the fur off the bristles. The most annoying part of any brush is cleaning it and this one is easy as the press of a button!

So far, just ok

I gave this 4 stars because it is a sturdy brush and feels good to hold, and I'm sure lots of other cats would like it. The bristles are very fine and skinny, but slightly sharp/prickly. Miss Kitty has yet to let me use it lol. She does not like to be brushed, and I thought this might work because some of the other reviews say their cat doesn't like to be brushed but likes this. I gave it a shot but so far it's a no go.

Bond Enhancer of Already Strong Bond!

Nice tool! My kitter friend loves it! Although she loves being brushed and combed in general, I have been using a regular comb and hair brush... at times a fork of all things to gently "scratch" her. The ones I was using did not fully grab that fine undercoat of her short fur; however, this does the trick and really does a good job. This brush is a good design that is very easy to clean by push of a button... I never thought I would get that much fur from her short coat. It appears to satisfy the gentle scratching she likes with more coverage. I noticed this slicker helped release little bits of dander as I brushed it all down to the nap of her tail end to collect it/wipe it off with a warm wet wash cloth. Her response is elevated from the usual love to a total gush, purrs and all... almost to the point of overstimulation - she rubs all over it and gets engaged in the action and will even play and love bite it.
