A great comb, so far, except for the handle
By kain280 on Jan 4, 2021
I have used this comb a couple of times now on my two Golden Retrievers. I've never had a comb that gets as much hair out of them as quickly as this one does. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the wooden handle. Unless you have really small hands, it's just too short.

Best comb EVER!!!
By CortneyC on Dec 16, 2020
I just got this today and used it to rake my Alaskan malamute. He is shedding his undercoat and this REALLY helped me get in there and help him get all his loose hair out. Excellent at detangling too, his butt area was pretty tangled and between this rake and my safari matte remover this grooming was a total breeze. Great product!!!

Great for when dogs are blowing coat
By mamafirebird on Sep 27, 2020 Top 100 Contributor
I have 2 Australian Shepherds, with appropriately thick double coats - longer outer guard hairs, and somewhat shorter, softer, and thicker undercoats. Twice yearly they "blow coat," meaning my house develops a significant population of undercoat "tribbles" as old coat drops out and newer coat appropriate to the upcoming season grows in. I normally use long and wide tooth poodle combs rather than brushes (got tired of breaking brush handles!), followed by combing with a long-short-long alternating tooth comb and a couple different coat rakes with T-shaped heads, to stay in front of the shedding process and prevent our Roomba from getting jammed. This comb nicely does its job. My only concern I have 2 Australian Shepherds, with appropriately thick double coats - longer outer guard hairs, and somewhat shorter, softer, and thicker undercoats. This comb nicely does its job. My only concern is the thickness of its handle - wish it were significantly larger in diameter, because my hands get cramped holding this thin handle during the long process of combing out a 40 lb shedding Aussie, and a 52 lb shedding Aussie. I've used a similar shedding comb with a more ergonomic handle for close to 17 years, but that one's handle is slowly failing, so I bought this one as a hopeful replacement, since my dogs have beautiful coats and need regular combing to stay that way. Crossing my fingers this one lasts as long and performs as well as its forebear. … more

We own several brushes, but nothing compares to this shedding comb. It’s amazing and it does the work with minimal effort. I definitely recommend

best brush
By angela on Jul 21, 2020
my two double coated long haired dogs love to get brushed with this. it reaches deep yet doesn’t hurt them whatsoever. i used a double sided brush (bristles on one side) before on them yet this got out hair close to their skin/ knots i didn’t even know they had! they prefer getting brushed by this more than other combs i have. it is my dogs favorite brush. get this for your long hair double coated dogs!! unfortunately though my pups have found a liking to chewing on this brush! they don’t with our other wooden handle brushes, besides that brush is great!

Really did a job for my big boy . If I’m being honest I thought it wasn’t going to work because it’s a bit small but it worked ! My big boy sheds bad and using this brush really helped me and he enjoyed getting brushed will definitely recommend this brush . I to tie my dog up because he couldn’t stay still at first lol

I use it on my husky who hates being brushed. Definitely takes out his undercoat!
