This rake was recommended to me by a professional dog groomer, show dog handler of Fox Terriers for my Terrier mix rescue who has wire hair... It is awesome! The teeth are long, so they do the job of getting all the undercoat out. I'm sold.
Our guys is a year old and has a very thick coat/undercoat. Much thicker than our last Australian Shepherd. I've had this rake for about a month and its been working great. It is a mess to use - fur everywhere but, it gets so much of his undercoat out - which is what we want. He's not a huge fan of being brushed and this does pull at his fur a bit. I use a lick mat with lots of peanut butter and he'll let me brush at him for about 10 minutes, which is sufficient. I try to do this twice a week. I would definitely recommend.
I love this rake. Unfortunately my German Shepherd does too. She has chewed up the end of the handle. The rake gets out all of her undercoat and does it easily.
I have an Anatolian shepherd puppy.. 5 months old. And right now it's the shedding time for him. This rake tool works perfectly on his coat. I use a detangler with it and at the end of the grooming session, my puppy's coat looks great.
Recently borrowed a similar product from a friend. Looked it up on your site and ordered it. It came so quickly and I am so pleased with its performance!
I NEVER leave reviews for anything, but couldn’t help it on this one! I have a medium sized dog, a mix but we think probably heeler/lab based on characteristics. He has a thick, moderately course coat. Other brushes did ok for the top coat but not the under. This works so well! Brushed out another dog it seemed! He loved it as well!
I’ve got about a dozen brushes, rakes and combs now. My doodle has hair that’s impossible to keep combed out. It’s tangles right after a full grooming. This makes her intolerant of getting brushed. She bites at the brush and is uncooperative even though I insist. It’s not a choice. I have to keep trying to detangle her coat. This rake using very short strokes in mini-sessions is the method she’s tolerated the best.
Cash, the German Shepherd puppy, has a medium length coat. The tines on the rake are able to pull out the undercoat without hurting his skin. Now we need more grooming practice.
I won 2 GSD and their double coats can be a chore to wash. This undercoat rake gets the soap to the skin and removes the undercoat. This a must have.
I have a lab shepherd mix. This brush worked well to remove undercoat hair. I would recommend it!
