The Pin Brush is excellent for general grooming of small to large dog breeds. This Pin Brush helps to lift out loose hair and debris. Brushing distributes natural oils, leaving a shiny, healthy coat. If the coat tends to be heavily matted, a Safari comb, rake, or slicker can be used to break up the mats. The Pin Brush can also be used to fluff the coat by brushing against the direction of hair growth.
Quality build made with a wooden handle that is meant to last.
Essential tool for all grooming kits. Easily lifts out shedding hair and debris.
Daily brushing ensures a healthy and shiny coat by distributing natural oils around the your pet's fur.
Perfect for tough jobs when used alongside a Safari comb, rake, or slicker. Getting rid of tangles and mats have never been so easy!
Our Bella is a Shih Tsu mix. She has a full coat. I was using a smaller pin brush with the nubs on the pins with little success. I read an article which recommended using a pin brush without nubs. It makes a great deal of difference. It is so much easier to get through the under coat. This brush is light weight so it is not tiring to use in a full comb out. I am very happy with this brush.
Not for 1yo Great Pyrenees - double coated dogs

Excellent quality of product, but not for my puppy's coat. Purchased because I thought it would be more comfortable for brushing so Squish, our pup, would stop trying to make me stop while I brushed him. Doesn't beat the effectiveness and necessity of a rake, and Squish is just as annoyed when I brush him this this. Suitable as a slicker brush of sorts, but doesn't get at the undercoat. May change once Squish blows his coat a few times.

I have toy long hair yorkies. In my opinion the stainless steel part of this brush is too long. I have an older Safari brush and the bristles are shorter
Decent for a cheaper extra brush!

Nothing fantastic but decent for an extra brush. Not sure if I would buy again.
Good Quality Brush

This brush works well for my longhaired, double coated collie. I previously bought a different brush on this website, which broke within a few uses, but the extra nice Chewy customer service refunded the previous brush and recommended this one. Thanks Chewy! This brush is great!
Wonderful Brush for a Shih Tzu

This brush does wonders on Shih Tzu long hair that none of our other brushes can accomplish. The straight pins without the nibs are key. I bought it after reading a tip from a show dog groomer. It makes the hair fluffy and awesome. Our dog will lay there “forever” as long as you keep brushing with this brush! I think it also keeps the tangles away longer.

Having a long haired German Shepherd, this brush is used ALOT. It holds up with the amount of fur it goes through and the bristles don’t pop out of place like other brushes I’ve used. All in all, a solid brush.
Recent manufacturer changes.

The manufacturer made some changes to this brush.
For some reason, Chewy is listing the same brush on the same page.
If you had the wooden handle version - the brush head is VERY different (rounded end etc - which is not on this update).
The new version is so different that it is basically a different brush.
Great for long-haired pups!

My wooly husky has super long hair that tangles and matts easily. I have a couple of grooming tools for him, but it's hard to find ones with long enough bristles/teeth for his hair. This one may be a *look* like a normal pin brush, but the pins are much longer than average -- perfect for my dog! They're nicely spaced out as well, so it detangles perfectly.

Works great on my 4 shelties! they have a double coat and this dose well at getting the under coat brushed out.
