To Install the Gate
To Adjust your gate to fit within your doorway:
Ensure your gate is in the fully condensed position. (NOTE: Your gate comes preassembled in the fully condensed position.)
Remove plastic wrapping and dispose of properly.
Place handle in the "unlock" position.
Place gate inside the doorway with handle facing away from pets's area. Make sure the bottom of the gate is touching the floor.
Slide gate panels outward to fit snugly within the doorway making sure that the rubber bumpers are firmly in place on the door frame.
Lock into place by rotating handle all the way down to the locked position. The handle locks into the slot on the gate panel. Pull up on handle to ensure it is locked into the slot.
Test to be sure gate is securely in place by tugging back and forth on the top and bottom. If you've extended your gate beyond the doorway opening and/or need to re-size the gate to accommodate a smaller doorway:
Ensure your gate is in the fully condensed position.
To fully condense your gate, place gate on end, ensuring that handle is positioned on top.
Press handle in toward gate, and push down on top gate panel until gate is fully condensed.
Now follow steps 3-7 as listed above for installing your gate within your doorway.
To Release the Gate
Push handle down and out, then slide up to unlocked position.
Slide gate panels back until bumpers are no longer in contact with door frame, and remove.
To Use Memory Function
On fully installed gate, slide handle to 2 o’clock position.
The gate will now back away from the door frame just enough to allow for removal, but will not allow gate panels to slide freely.
Replace the gate into the same doorway, and slide handle to locked position. CAUTION: The gate should automatically fit into the doorway, but ALWAYS be sure to check that the gate is firmly secured by tugging both top and bottom. If the gate is not secure, remove the gate and re-install according to the steps previously noted in the “To Install the Gate” section.
To Clean the Easy-Fit Plastic Gate
Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth using a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not immerse the gate in water.
There were some other reviews about the handle being flimsy or not locking and breaking, which made me nervous. But I liked the design of the hole spacing and thick lower/upper parts because of the reason we were purchasing.
We have two cats and one is FeLv+, so they can't be in the same space at the same time. Usually we keep one upstairs and one downstairs, but when deep cleaning, they have to be rotated. We tried using an under the door breeze blocker but the cats would still throw themselves at the door and try to boop each other with their paws and claws. This is perfect. It is sturdy and locked into place nicely in the doorway. The cats aren't able to boop each other and end up peacefullyThere were some other reviews about the handle being flimsy or not locking and breaking, which made me nervous. Looked Great, But Handle Broke Off in Days!

Seemed great, sturdy, but in just a few days the handle came off in my hand. So it was a total waste of money! The screw holding the handle in place was designed to not allow adjusting! Total waste of money.
Make sure you install the gate properly

I purchased the Easy Fit Security Gate and installed it at my bedroom door. I was hoping my domestic cat, Polly, and my feral cat, Fran could gradually get to know one another from opposite sides.
After installing the gate I waited to see what would happen. Polly jumped up against the gate , the gate fell, and both cats ran and hid. Subsequently I had to get rid of the gate.
OK and Nice

The handle is hard to operate, gotta have a little strength to pull out the handle and push down, and the door frame needs to be square or it won't fit correctly and will fall down. Brand new and useless to me but will probably give it away.
It is made of good quality material, looks nice but didn't work for me.
Need a taller gate

Finally figured out how to obtain a tight fit, and Betty has learned how to jump over gate. She's a 23" mut.

I absolutely love this gate it’s easy to use, thank goodness my dog won’t jump over it. It works great on keeping him in check.
inflexible, the handle fell off almost immediately upon use

I could not fit this gate into a spot that on paper seemed quite right for it. Once in a precarious position atop stairs, one attempt to release the handle to remove e the gate resulted in the handle falling off, a screw no longer around and the gate careened to its tipping point and rolled down the stairway.
Easy to use

We purchase two of these gates and they are great! They are easy to adjust and easy to remove when needed. We would highly recommend these.

I purchased this gate to be able to confine my 15 year old yellow lab Riley to a safe area of my home where carpeting existed so he would have no issues getting up and down when I was not home. The gate was perfect but sadly Riley crossed the rainbow bridge this past week.
