    Small baby gate

    By Heatherw64 on Feb 21, 2021

I thought I was going to love this baby gate. It's very short. I can walk right over it. It works for dogs that respect baby gates. But any medium to large dog that really wanted over it would jump right over. It does work for small animals like chinchillas and rabbits. Our chinchillas can't get through the holes. I like the way it looks, very appealing. The lock works good, almost too good. Barley can get it ublocked.

    Great for puppies/smaller dogs

By puppymom on Jan 11, 2021

We wanted a way to contain our puppy and still be able to easily go in and out ourselves. This gate is the ticket. While most gates are so tall I can barely get over them (I'm 5'7") this one is easy for an adult to step over (and the cat can easily leap it or perch on top of it.) it easily contains our three month old puppy and will for quite some time. My only (minor) complaint is that the snap locking mechanism is pretty snug- making it a challenge to move if you don't have good strength in your hands. I expect that it will loosen up a bit over time and be easier to lock and unlock in place. Not a problem for us as we don't move it very often because its so easy to step over!

    Don't bother with this one

By Shae on Nov 4, 2020

I purchased this item on a different site but when I saw it here I wanted to let people know: don't waste your time or money. The materials are extremely flimsy. The mesh is wobbly, so there is nothing giving this gate structure. The locking mechanism uses a notch system, so you can't measure exactly to the size of your door. If the nearest notch is too big or too small, tough luck. And the design of the lock is really dumb--there's no tension of any kind, so it defeats the purpose entirely.

    Serves My Purrpose

By Happy on Dec 26, 2020

This serves my purpose in looks and function. However is very hard to open at first. Had to use players to get it open the first time and seems to get easier with use. But I liked it enough to order another one.

Difficult to operate, didn't fit my door.

By DrystenK on Oct 17, 2020

It took me a good while to figure out how to work this gate, even with instructions. Once I figured out the lever mechanism, it was still really difficult to wedge in the doorframe by myself. After a several tries of levering, wedging and weakly pushing to test only for it to fall right out, I just concluded it wasn't going to wedge securely in my doorframe. Worth noting the doorframe had a baseboard molding, but I was mounting the gate above it, and still wasn't able to wedge between the flat walls with all four bumpers secure. I'm returning and opting for a gate with a twist-to-fit side bumpers.

    Disappointing

By atravelingcatlady on Oct 14, 2020

I was drawn to this gate for the eco-friendly aspect along with the nice appearance of the gate. After reading reviews, decided for the sale price it would be simple enough as a “starter” gate for the puppy we plan to adopt. We also have one small dog and a cat. Neither my husband or myself could easily move the latch as expected, it would stick. The tension on this gate is poor, even in multiple areas of our condo, it would be useless. I have reached out to Chewy for a return/refund of this item.

    Great Walk Over Gate

By Kelly on Sep 23, 2020

This is perfect for what I needed: something I could move around to different areas where I was so the puppies could be with me while I worked. I can walk over it if need be and it still keeps the puppies in their allotted space. Easy to deal with. I bought two and they have worked out well.

    Exactly what I needed

By MyBestFriend on Sep 1, 2020

I have a puppy that's just over 4 lbs. She's tiny enough that she can get through gates that have the usual 2 in. gap between vertical bars. I also was concerned that has she grew her head could get caught. This gate has a honeycomb mesh type grid that keeps her safely confined to her play area.

    impossible to open

By faye on Sep 10, 2020

Cannot use because I can not open the lock. This is definately not user friendly. Not worth price of shipping to send back. Why does a good company like this one carry this gate. Wasted money.

    Works great!

    By GH2021 on Jun 28, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor

Let's me get air circulation into my craft room (which is on the south facing of the house so it gets really hot in summer even with AC running) without the cats being able to get in the room and wreak havoc. Three of them stacked one on top of the other in the doorway does the trick. The only down sides are that the one cat is a climber and has climbed them - they do not come loose but he left scratches in the plastic mesh. The other downside is that one cat is a chewer and gnawed immediately on the top bar, which had to be deterred with some bitter yuck spray.
