one piece inconvenience
By fercrop on Feb 21, 2021
While this mesh fabric gate was perfect for our cat , recovering from a stroke, it was not convenient for people having to walk through from one room to the other as the whole gate had to come down. I would only recommend this if you did not intend it to be moved or for people to have to access the doorway it is standing in.

Frustrating
By gigi on Nov 17, 2020
I have wasted way too much time trying to put this thing together. It is a simple task but the rubber at the end of each tension rod keeps getting stuck on something as I try to thread it through the top and bottom channels. I am soooooo frustrated!! I think I'm going to have to spray something on the rubber just to get it to slide easily through the channel. I thought the material may have been accidentally sewn together inside the channel and that's why the tension rods kept getting stuck midway, so I slid the end rods through just to see if they fit all the way and yes they do. It is just the daggum rubber on the tension rods that is my headache. I may end up sending it back if I can't get I have wasted way too much time trying to put this thing together. Love this gate easy up easy down. Can be washed if necessary. Like that it’s a pressure held gate no whole in walls.

A bit twisty
By Durham on Jul 21, 2020
I needed a gate to fit a 60" gap on my front porch, so I could comfortably enjoy my swing without worrying that my dog would bolt after someone on the sidewalk. This was the only gate advertised to stretch that far. And it does, technically. But once it gets past about 50" the fabric pulls so taut that everything starts to twist. I can use the gate, though! And I do. But if my dog ever challenged it, he could easily knock it down. So, though I'm on the porch swinging, I gotta keep a close eye on him.... On the plus side, like everything from Chewy, the gate was shipped right away and I found it very easy to assemble. It's light and easy to move from place to place. Frustrating! Poles consistently get caught and tear fabric.
By Terrible on Jul 14, 2020
This would be a great product if you could slide the poles through without them consistently getting caught and then you end up tearing fabric to get the poles loose. You would think the manufacture would make sure there was nothing to catch the poles within the slots but both top and bottom consistently get caught in both directions. Very, very frustrating!

difficult assembly
By Lulu on Jun 20, 2020
The fabric panel that serves as the gate is poorly sewn. The tubes are impossible to pull over the poles. I had to cut the fabric tubes to pull it through because I was determined to get them from one side to the other. Unfortunately the whole reason I got it was because it looked nice and want my home looking good. This product is now against the wall in the garage. I don’t recommend

Safety 1st wide doorway fabric pet gate
By Debull on Jul 18, 2020
Pet gate is exactly as described. It fit our needs perfectly. Gate assembly is easy if you follow the directions, but use a plastic sleeve over the horizontal rods to facilitate rod passage or you will get frustrated.
