Danger to cats paws, especially elderly
I did speak with Chewy regarding this issue and supposedly they were taking care of it. I assume they still are. My cat is 15 years old and he was tracking very badly. I saw the Santa Cat and thought wow what a great idea. I especially like the antibacterial type formulation. So I started using it and I would notice that sometimes my cat would make a wimpery sound when he would leave it but he's also very picky so a lot of times he whines about everything. He's always done that so I didn't think a whole lot about it. The litter does form hard clumps as it says it does if you use the floral scent. The one that is unscented Will Blast you and your cat with an insane amount of baking soda and what seems like dust. It was literally in my nose to wipe out. I have never had that experience with any litter. And it gets much worse. The litter clumped to one of my kitties claws and he could not retract it. To this day I am still trying to help him get all of this litter out of the depths of his claws. One claw has completely been lost. And I can tell it hurts and I've been doctoring it up and I think it's going to take more money and time and effort and pain on my cat's part to help him by going to the vet for further assistance. A cat can get a serious bone infection from losing a complete claw. My cat deals with so much stuff this was the very last thing that he needed to deal with. I would tell everyone run run for dear life from this litter. It has the potential to harm your pet in a very serious way! I was able to find a different litter that has similar qualities and is going very well for him now except that he now covers with his back feet because his front paws are so messed up still from using this litter. Mind you also I quit using it well over a month ago. It's going on close to a month and a half to two months since he's had any of that litter in his box.
Cat litter
Best cat litter ever!!! Minimal dust, the cats prefer it over other litter I have purchased. And my guests to my home always tell me they can't smell my cats at all and wouldn't know that I had them.
DO not buy this cat litter
I bought this cat liter because it claims it is track free. It is not track free. My cat still tracks the cat litter on the floor like the other low tracking cat litter. It is also very dusty and does not mask the odor from my cat using the litter box. I will not buy this product again.
Best I've Ever Used
I and my cats love it. No odor and minimal tracking and I have 4 cats using the 1 litter box,
Dusty litter
I bought the litter thinking that it was dust free. It was not and it also smells bad.
Worst Litter I Ever Used!
I bought this litter because it had good and bad reviews. It was a great price so I figured I’ll make my own judgment. Well the good thing is it hides odors very well. The bad is the boxes were so cheap the litter was everywhere. All over the clear plastic chewy packs there litter in as well as the shipping box. What a disaster. I tried to scoop it back it in the box. Now the dust. My god. I can’t believe chewy would sell this awful dusty product. I don’t know how a cat can breath using the litter box with this amount of dust. I refused to use this and threw it all away. I will stick with arm &hammer. I’m not going to jeopardize my cats health by using this awful product. This can cause severe breathing problems in a animal. It’s a thick clay dust, like soot. Sticks to everything. Chewy should test there products before they sell them. Very disappointed!
Define "dust free"
I am NOT impressed with Sanicat in regards to its claim of being "dust free". I am a feline foster parent, I use a LOT of litter, and my husband has asthma. Litter that is low dust is CRITICAL. Sanicat claims to be dust free, but clouds of dust billow out when pouring it into the litter pan, and even when scooping the box. Sorry, guys, but that's NOT dust free.
Good Litter
I really like this litter. I’ve been using it for almost a years now. I use it with the Nature’s Miracle disposable litter boxes. I have two cats. The litter clumps really well and doesn’t fall apart when I am scooping it.
Worked great
This litter was great! I had no issues with it compared to others that I have tried. I have a multi cat household and always look for the best value and quality of an item and would buy this again when the pricing is right.
Worst cat litter ever
Don't buy. Worst cat litter ever. Doesn't clump and sticks to the litter box and become hard as a rock. Had to buy a new litter box because I couldn't clean the cat litter out.
