Poorly constructed

I just got this sheet. I knew Saxon was a lower end brand, but thought it was decent quality. It is not. It looks pretty, but is very thin. I am very skeptical that it will be waterproof. The lining is very stiff and thin and crackles like plastic. The whole thing has a very strong plastic smell to it right out of the package. I bought it to replace a sheet that recently sustained a tear. I hope this one lasts long enough for me to get something of decent quality. I do not hold out much hope that it will last for long.

My 29 year old barrel horse in Cali is showing some age...in October still not cool enough for a blanket but I wanted something to keep warmth in...he is a size 80..this being an 81 was concerned about it being big but it fit him like a glove...a rainproof denier sheet that doubles to me as a fly sheet for my boy..thank you Chewy for having fine items like this Saxon sheet for 39.99!!! Roy thanks you!
