I have owned two of these in the past ten years. They’ve been great for my female Tabby. I highly recommend. I’ve often been able to go a month without changing the litter with no odor. Reading some of the negative reviews, it occurs to me that people should adjust the rake setting time to allow the wet feces and urine to dry a bit so that it doesn’t stick to the rake so much. My Tabby Girl is now 15 and uses the potty all the time such that I am having to change the trays every two weeks now for her health. Therefore not economical and am searching for a new box for her. But, I do love this box for a healthy cat. … more

Most Helpful Critical Review

This litter box couldn't handle my three cats, but I think it would do well for a single cat household. You do have to check on it to make sure everything is in place and that it isn't getting full too quickly.

bad design
By kitties1948 on Dec 6, 2021
The machine’s fatal flaw is that it does not scoop waste around the edges, so it gets stuck when the rake is going back and never cleans. i would try another brand

This litter pan is awesome. I do not have to scoop poo and it keeps odors sealed away. Great item. Highly recommend

The Litter box is amazing .. Less odor, less work. Refills get costly but it seems worth it.

Not really worth it
By Kelly on Sep 13, 2021
I have 5 cats. I thought this might help with the main box that they all seem to use in the laundry room. I have boxes on each floor for them, but they seem to use the one in the laundry room the most. Only one cat used it. I’d be ok with that because that particular cat often goes outside the box (but he will use puppy pads). So I thought it was at least worth it for him. But it didn’t really work that well. The first month or so it was fine then all of the sudden I noticed it wasn’t cleaning as well. Feces were getting stuck on the rake and not being pushed fully to the receptacle. I used both the disposable litter cardboard boxes and bought the plastic reusable one. Didn’t seem to matter. I have 5 cats. Self cleaning litter box
By MRosso on Jun 28, 2021
Unfortunately this litter box did not work. While the mechanics work properly, the feces gets stuck on the rake and builds up.

Bummed my cats don't like it
By Catbox on Jun 27, 2021
So far my two cats will not use it. I dont think they like the crystals. Trying to mix old litter with crystals, but so far no luck. So bummed because it is such a great idea!! I've even put some of their excrement in the box to see if they will smell it and know, still nothing.

Do Not Buy
By Tray on May 21, 2021
Worst product! For 2 cats we had to change crystals every 8 days Otherwise smelled up the whole house and cats would not use. Crystals are VERY expensive. Went from paying 15.00 a month for cat litter to 90.00 for 6 weeks.
