    Quit after 1000 scoops

By KittyMomOfThree on Oct 10, 2021

I bought this unit June 2020 and in August 2021 it stopped working. I have reset it, cleaned it thoroughly and made sure it was put together properly. Still not working. There is a 1 year limited warranty on these and you have to register them within 30 days of purchase and keep the receipt. Even still I bought this unit June 2020 and in August 2021 it stopped working. I have reset it, cleaned it thoroughly and made sure it was put together properly. Still not working. There is a 1 year limited warranty on these and you have to register them within 30 days of purchase and keep the receipt. Even still it would not have mattered, because it was just past the one year mark. It worked great up until it didn't. It just sucks to pay $200 for something and only get to use it for 14 months. I have 2 cat boxes for my 3 cats, so this one was only used half the time. It was @ 1,000 scoops give or take, before it went out. I reset it to zero, power works, the scooper will not move. It's like the arm is broke internally or something. So if you are okay with spending $200 to get 1,000 scoops, then go for it. I am going back to regular liter and scooping. Much cheaper and less issues. … more

Somewhat convenient, still requires some manual scooping

I’ve been using this with my one cat for about two years now, at first I really liked the idea of being able to only replace litter once a month and not have to scoop poop but I found that 1. the crystals needed constant redistribution to allow for better evaporation and 2. the smell is not contained I’ve been using this with my one cat for about two years now, at first I really liked the idea of being able to only replace litter once a month and not have to scoop poop but I found that 1. the crystals needed constant redistribution to allow for better evaporation and 2. the smell is not contained due to no closures or trap door. It is also a bit cumbersome to replace the litter tray as you have to carefully place flat soiled box in the trash bag and hope that sharp corners don’t cut the bag and contents spill everywhere. Overall great concept but ok execution. Going to have to switch to old school box and donate or throw this one away unfortunately. At least I was able to get two years worth. … more
