    I purchased this cat box on a referral from my daughter - who hates to clean. I do not have a problem cleaning or keeping the cat box changed and scooped regularly. However - just one cat CAN make a difference on the poopsmello'meter!! So - I gave it a chance. Colby (my tabby - a senior) once presented with the new box strutted with his hair and tail standing on end paced and sniffed off and on for days. He DID USE IT THO. What I found was that by using the granules instead of the clay of traditional boxes his business did not smell as before. Also - the automatic screening of the poop into the storage area - took the odor away. I am very pleased with the system and so is my husband!! Happy family - and Colby is a techno gadget friendly cat now!! … more

    Good idea at heart

    I decided to buy this litter box because I will be at work during the day and wanted my cat to have a clean box. I liked how it is automatic, but after using it for a couple weeks I realized that it isn’t the easiest to manage for sanitary reasons. The crystals would soil really quickly and I felt like I decided to buy this litter box because I will be at work during the day and wanted my cat to have a clean box. I liked how it is automatic, but after using it for a couple weeks I realized that it isn’t the easiest to manage for sanitary reasons. The crystals would soil really quickly and I felt like I had to change the box after 2-3 weeks. This also might be TMI, but my cat had diarrhea for a little and the poop would cling to the crystals after the automatic cleaning. I would have to be there to scoop up that specific area so it wouldn’t spread the poop all over. Overall, I think having a normal litter box is just easier maintenance. … more
