    Love but something is changing

    I absolutely love the convenience of this litter box. I use to get about 80 or more out of each tray with 2 cats and now I can barely make it to 50 and is just too dirty for me to let my cats in to use and walk around in the house. I used blue at first and then tried lavender. Can't tell much difference I absolutely love the convenience of this litter box. I used blue at first and then tried lavender. Can't tell much difference in the two but just doesn't seem to last as long. Definitely still much better than clumping litter though. I would never go back, just sort of expensive to use but still worth the money. … more

    Just too expensive for negligible convenience

    So in pricing these out, each of these single use trays (4.5 lbs of litter with tray = between $14-$16) costs roughly double what the litter costs alone that has about two uses (8 lbs bag = $12-$18... so a single use would be $6-$9). The hard plastic reusable Scoopfree trays that can be refilled are kinda pricey up front, require some cleaning between uses, and the little magnet bar warps and comes undone with fervent burying, as my critters do. But if that amount of labor is doable for you, get just the crystals. The convenience of these refills is relative, since you're still handling the soiled trays both ways, just differently. … more
