Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Litter FeatureNon-Clumping, Odor Control, Scented, Dust Free, Low Tracking
- Place the ScoopFree litter box away from areas of high humidity, such as bathrooms, showers, and basements. Since the crystal litter controls odor by absorbing moisture, having extra moisture in the air will shorten the life of the tray. Try placing it in a room with moving air to pull away moisture, like a room with a fan.
- If your cat consistently urinates in the same spot, try stirring the crystals occasionally to help distribute saturated crystals.
- Cats with diets that are high in crude fiber and ash content will produce more solid waste, which can prematurely fill the waste trap. Consider changing your cat’s diet to a food with no byproducts or fillers.
Additional Instructions
- Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.
- Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid.
Transition Instructions
Most cats adapt easily to ScoopFree boxes and use it within a week. If your cat needs help adjusting, try these tips:
- Leave your cat's old litter box next to the ScoopFree box.
- Add a few handfuls of your cat’s old litter to the ScoopFree litter tray and add a few handfuls of the ScoopFree crystal litter in your cat's old litter box.
- Stop cleaning the old litter box. As the old litter becomes more shallow and dirty, your cat should start using the cleaner ScoopFree box.
- If your cat is startled by the raking noise, turn off the ScoopFree box and scoop waste manually for a few days until your cat is used to the new box.
If you have a kitten under 6 months old, we recommend leaving the box unplugged and scooping waste manually. You can start getting her used to using the litter box with these tips.
- Kittens have a natural reflex to use the bathroom after eating, playing, or napping. Put your kitten in the litter box after these activities to help her associate the litter tray with the instinct.
- Place the litter box away from the food and water bowl. Cats prefer not to use the bathroom near where they eat and drink.
- Put the litter box in a quiet, visible place where she can get to it quickly. Getting all the way across the house to find the litter box could result in accidents. The location should also be safe and quiet so your kitten won't be startled or distracted.
- Keep the box clean. Scoop waste often and change the litter tray every few weeks. Cats and kittens prefer a clean box.
- Stir the litter crystals once a week to distribute saturated crystals. Kittens pee more often than adult cats, so the litter box will get dirty more quickly.
What are ScoopFree litter crystals made of?
The blue crystal litter is made of a silica gel. The crystals are non-toxic and perfectly safe for people and animals if eaten accidentally. Silica gel is an inert substance that’s mined from the earth. A derivative of silica gel is used in many powered drinks and soups as an anti-clumping agent. If your pet eats a couple of crystals or small bites of litter, he should be perfectly fine. Just provide your pet with water. The crystals will pass through his system. However, you should make sure your pet doesn't eat a large amount of litter. Contact your vet if you notice any changes in your pet's behavior or health or if you suspect your pet has eaten more than a few bites of any type of litter at one time. If your dog often tries to eat your cat's litter, you can take extra steps to keep your dog out of the litter box.

crystals!!!
By maggie on Feb 18, 2021
OK so I have four cats and I have four litter boxes I use two bags of litter per box I scoop each box out every day and mix it up I do not have any issues with any kind of odor unless they just took a crap then of course there’s going to be a smell but the thing with this kind of litter is you have to keep it mixed up if you don’t then it’ll get gross and clumpy and yellow you have to mix it every single day yes it is extremely dusty that part I hate but I can honestly say that I love the Crystal litter so much better than clay And to be honest if you were taking care of your cats properly you should never have an odor

Will never buy again!
By Momneeee on Feb 16, 2021
I have use the crystal litter the last several months, but not this brand. I have used the paper litter and I used clay litter for years. This brand of crystal litter was by far the worst I ever had. It would leave such a dust cloud that you could actually see it and I had to leave the room. My whole bedroom smelled like dust and the litter box is in my master bathroom in the bathtub. After the first use the cat refused to use it, I assume due to the dust it stirred up. I ended up having to replace it very quickly. Thank goodness the other littler box at the other end of the house, still had our regular litter in it.

Love this stuff
By AnimalLover4ever on Feb 17, 2021
I absolutely love this stuff! 1 of my 2 cats loves this stuff as well. My torti Calico, the 1 w the tude at all times however, is taking some work, so I'll have to get back to you on how long it takes me to totally transition her over to it. I love it as it weighs nothing, all you do is mix it up every day or 2, & scoop the poop out, & it is definitely dry poop. Anyone who says there's puddles of urine either didn't mix the crystals around or literally their cat just went, literally. I'll never go back, ever!

Not the greatest - but not giving up
By Meandmycats on Jan 24, 2021
Here we go... 2 cats one box (tried two boxes but they both use just one box) One cat is normal. The other cat is nuts and obsessed with drinking water (vet approved). So there's a lot of pee in the box. 1 Bag in the box. Within 10 days it was a stinky mess. Nothing dried up in time before the next pee, so I cleaned the box and put in a new bag. I thought about putting 2 bags in one box, but if it's not absorbing the extra pee form the nuts cat, piling on more litter will not (in my humble opinion) help the liquid evaporate better. Pros: Not much waste. I just scoop poop most of the time. Cats migrated to the new litter without a problem. Cleaning the litter box was easy. When coming to leave this review, this product went on sale so I bought more bags unwilling to do the subscribe thing. This will either give me a chance to get use to the litter and I may increase the rating, or I dump it and lower the rating. But for now, it's 3 stars. Some Good, Some Bad. I'll be back..... … more

Crunchy Toes
By ChloesDad on Feb 1, 2021
I love this litter. My cat is 13 so let me tell you we have tried lots of litter. Now to be fair I do have a litter genie which I love because Chloe pees a lot. The thing I like about this litter is I don't have to scoop and scoop and scoop. It keeps things way cleaner overall and my life much easier. I have two litter boxes for her because she's a picky brat. She has no issue stepping and and out. I don't think I will go back to her clumping clay litter ever again. Treat yourself and your cat. This is my all time favorite.

Great Litter
By Vall on Jan 18, 2021
I have always been a clumping clay user, but I recently tried the crystals out of curiosity. It is very light in comparison, which even makes scooping the solids out easier. It has a very light, pleasant fragrance that I only smell when scooping. My 2 cats (who have 3 boxes but use the same one) used to step in eachothers clay clumps and get their beans muddy. The crystals dry poo out better so its never swampy unless you neglect to scoop for a while. No clay clumps stuck to the sides, just dried poo and yellow crystals. One of my cats tends to hold her pee, then go all at once. This flood can seep through the crystals to the bottom, so I use pee pad underneath sometimes. Good Stuff! Much cheaper than the 'box' refill
By CJenn on Jan 20, 2021
This is a more affordable alternative to purchasing the ScoopFree box refill. The downside is that emptying the original cardboard box is gross. This litter does not absorb liquid as does a clumping formulation. The problem is that the box retains some unexpected and unpleasant "moisture". The upside is that there really is no horrid smell. If you are using the ScoopFree litter-box, I would try this alternative at least once to check your tolerance level for the yuck factor.

ScoopFree Premium Scented Crystal Litter
By BabyGirl on Jan 13, 2021
This little is the best I have EVER found! There is No dust, NO un-Godly odor, and my cat really likes it! I am 72 and have had a cat since I was 9 years old! *No, not the same one! LoL* So I think I have had a lot of experience with Cat Litter!!! Also, found out that it is not harmful to dogs if they eat it! It smelled so good, my best friend's dog had herself a snack! And, it did not harm her at all. She sorta made a face like she might be eating "pop rocks", LOL - we had a good laugh!

Quite Disappointing - Very Poor Odor Control
By Carla1951 on Jan 2, 2021
I've been a long time fan of Feline Pine, but the only drawback is that it tends to stick to the pan when emptying it for cleaning. It's also quite heavy when time to change. This type crystal cat littler looked like it would slide right out and would be more manageable for me - lighter weight. It is lighter weight, it does easily slide out of the pan, HOWEVER, the urine odor is very strong after only 3 or 4 days. With Feline Pine, even when most of the litter is saturated, there is NO ODOR. So - odor control trumps convenience for me and my kitty. I am definitely using the crystal stuff until it runs out, but will only be ordering Feline Pine going forward.

Wanted to like it
By LumpySpaceKitty on Dec 27, 2020
We are new kitty owners and had heard everyone raving about this stuff. I also just found out I am allergic to cats... yay. I love them and need to find a way to help my allergies and my family's noses. This stuff is suppose to be relatively dust free and help with litter odors. Even with my daughter scooping twice a day and a litter box with lid, door flap and a filtered window we can smell it! It is being tracked all over the room and dust goes everywhere when the kitty cats use it and when being cleaned and mixed. I wanted to like it but after less than two weeks of use, I hate it. Hope I can get my money back for the unused amount because- me trying to be thrifty- I bought it on sale and We are new kitty owners and had heard everyone raving about this stuff.
