I like this plastic one it saves me a lot of money and it works like the disposable one except you have to empty it and clean it. Cookie our cat likes after he uses it he watches it. He is funny if he hears start up he runs to see what’s going on.

The reservoir to catch the poop is not very large and you will still have to scoop out the mess. There is no way this will hold 20 to 30 days worth of waste. I have two cats and two machines. We still have to scoop out the reservoir. If that doesn’t bother you then these will be a great addition.

Not worth it
By Amanda11788 on Jan 13, 2021
I debated on getting this for months. Finally pulled the trigger and wish I hadn’t. The magnet flap never stayed attached. Therefore it was covered in cat poop. Talk about fun trying to clean that. Litter also clumped to the bottom which I thought may happen. This box liner took the simplicity out of a self scooping box. I went back to the disposable ones and never been happier!

Reusable cat litter tray works ok
By Carol on Dec 29, 2020
I bought this to replace the disposable cardboard trays which are great but expensive. This reusable tray works but the magnets on the trap door constantly disconnect so I have to manually replace the plastic strip frequently. Also, I don’t know why the waste receptacle is so tiny. The waste usually doesn’t quite make it in there so the receptacle fills up with litter. I clean it out every other day to keep the smell at bay. Basically, this tray works but is not as efficient as the disposable trays

Not helpful

The litter gets full of urine within 3 days. If you buy the 50.00 reusable box it doesn't have a barrier from the waste and it gets all over the purple top. So just be careful

After a few months you can't get the smell out!
By jesstex on Dec 22, 2020
I purchased this because I felt it was better for the environment, but after a while I was cleaning it so frequently that this was no longer a convenience (which was the point in me purchasing a Scoop Free litter box). After a few weeks the plastic smells like urine and you just can't get the smell out. I ended up throwing it out after 3 months because it smelled so bad, and that was after thoroughly cleaning it every time I changed the litter.

It's okay I guess if you have a cat that does not have kidney failure I have to change the litter too often because my cat has kidney failure and she pees a lot it gets wet it doesn't dry out its get smelly and the tray is too heavy. to dump

lifesaver and money saver
By JasJax on Dec 11, 2020
So glad I found this reusable tray. I found an automatic scoop free litter box second hand for cheap and was so surprised at the cost of the disposable trays for it. I did my research and found this and I am so glad I did! Yes the initial cost of the tray was kind of pricey but it honestly pays for itself. I can buy whatever brand of Crystal litter I want and just scoop out the dirty tray weekly. I’ve been able to go as long as 3 weeks between my 2 cats and they seem to be fine downgrading to one single litter box as opposed to the 5 traditional ones I had beforehand since this is always clean and fresh and ready for them to use without them being fussy about it.

not as good as the disposables
By Chels on Dec 7, 2020
i have been using this litter box, 3 of them, for over a year now. I love the litter box, the convience it brings not having to scoop. As the refills are very expensive for 5 cats, over 100 bucks a month just in litter refils, i decided to get the permanent trays and just buy the litter, instead of the disposable trays which are double the price. HOWEVER, the catch tray is SO tiny, the magnetic bar falls off all the time. The tray is also less shallow, so more clean litter goes into the "poop shoot" than youd want. I hate these, such a waste of money. I'll now have to throw these away and go back to paying double for the disposables to not waste over $500 i have invested in these litter boxes i have been using this litter box, 3 of them, for over a year now.
